Dems: Less than a month from midterms… would be a real dick move to throw a minority group under the bus and piss off my base.

Access is NOT the question. I thought we covered this already. I have access to the Lexus show room. I can’t buy a Lexus. Corporate BS. Medicare For All. Get back to me when Corporate Dems move past “access.”

'This is the most important election of our lifetime' -someone who thinks elected officials are incapable of doing their jobs and that its rude to expect otherwise.

Carville thinks full blown fascism is a small price to pay for making sure we never get universal healthcare, regulate corporations, defund ICE, or hold people in power accountable. It should be alarmingly clear that he's just a Republican wearing a blue hat to anyone with sense by now.

I love that she did this. It makes “Abolish DHS” officially within the conversation of Democratic policy. It means offices like the one I work for can push on that line without standing alone. It also makes it easier for squishier offices to take bolder now “moderate” stances like “Abolish ICE”

Truthout@truthout.org

Rep. Delia C. Ramirez has introduced a bill that would abolish not just ICE, but the DHS altogether, repealing the 2002 law establishing the agency and replacing it with one focused on protecting civil and human rights.

Go ahead and apply for that job you think you’re not qualified for. If Katie Zacharia can be White House press secretary, you’re probably overqualified.

Yeah, nah. We ain't gonna call it that.

Trump: "Super intelligence, or SI. And that's the official name in the United States. I'll be signing a very powerful executive order. I spoke to President Xi. He loves it ... 'Artificial intelligence' is like the news. Fake news. I'm going to call them artificial news."

My Facebook news feed is full of Lindsay Clancy supporters claiming men aren't speaking out about Cornell and posts from male content creators speaking out about Cornell. Some of them are unintentionally equating themselves with men who excuse SA. It's kind of wild. Anyway, hope the frat boys rot.

See this chart? Workers’ share of the nation’s income is at the lowest it’s been since records began in 1947. Corporate profits’ share, on the other hand, is the highest it’s been since 1950. This is why we must build back worker power.

in 2016 Elon Musk said he would build a fully automated factory in Fremont, California for the upcoming Model 3 and he then spent on the order of $2 billion on production lines that didn't work, forcing Tesla to assemble cars by hand in a tent but sure, now he's gonna do it on the moon

I don't live in Michigan, but every time I get on Facebook the algorithm drowns me in posts about Haley Stevens. I must have seen hundreds of her posts. Not a single one has mentioned a policy position she holds.

Very upset to learn pollymarket won’t let me bet on if Stevens will invent a new slur or resurrect one not used since the 1700’s before this ends.

anytime i'm reminded of that she-ra reboot it's that the horse, upon gaining the ability for speech, immediately went 'you have nothing to lose but your chains'. the three main ideologies of she-ra: benevolent matriarchy, fascism, and marxist-horseism

Every Democrat praising horrific monsters upon their death needs to be voted out. Yes, even the ones who pretend to be progressive. If you have anything nice to say about Lindsey Graham then you're out of touch with your base.

Elizabeth Warren@warren.senate.gov

I got to know Senator Lindsey Graham traveling with him abroad in Afghanistan and Ukraine. We had just met to renew the fight for our Big Tech bill. Even though we disagreed on much, he was always willing to negotiate, with humor and wit. My heart goes out to his loved ones.

i mean you're technically correct that it's weird and delusional to expect a decent person to get anywhere near the levers of power but what i don't get is howcome instead of examining why we built a society that makes that true we're making fun of people who hope out loud for it to be different?

I'm going to make a formal apology to Belgium. When I read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series as a teenager I thought it was hilarious that Douglas Adams used your country's name as a swear word. It is clear to me now that you deserve better.

Happy Interdependence Day. Nobody is truly independent. Humanity only survives cooperatively. The United States relied on the French during the revolution and quickly established fresh ties with England when it was over. Despite this our nation fetishizes the idea of independence in all its forms.
