We have a history of net losses and may not generate sufficient revenue to achieve or sustain profitability in the future. We have incurred net losses in each year since our founding, including a net loss of $1.5 billion, $8.3 billion, and $42.0 billion for the years ended December 31, 2023 ... 1/2

A while ago record companies were suing families for for huge sums for downloading a couple of tracks. Now, AI firms are stealing catalogues of music for 'training purposes' and are getting away scot free. How does that work then?

On Tuesday MPs held an evidence session on alternative forms of ownership for water. This wouldn’t have happened without the groundswell of support for public ownership. The pressure this has created has pushed the debate on from whether we replace the current privatised mess, to how we replace it.

Question: There's a fair amount of backlash around building data centres in cities therefore why not build them out at sea? Resources required: Water - well, it'll be surrounded by it. Electricity - can be harnessed through waves. Prove me wrong. #datacenter

Staying in the UK and paying taxes is one of the most patriotic things I can do." Writing in The Independent, Stephen Kinsella highlights why contributing to public services and local communities is a source of pride, not something to run away from #TaxTheRich #WealthTax

I got an idea! Instead of spending all day down by the docks moaning about 'immigrants' who, once sorted will 'steal your jobs', how about actually applying for these jobs first?

Yesterday was an absolute whirlwind. We finally saw a record number of MPs step up and support public ownership of water, something I’ve spent years fighting for. To top it off, I got to chat with Becky Hill who came to show her support, look me in the eye, and say, “This is the Hill I’ll die on.”

There’s nothing more dangerously neoliberal than Big Tech taking complete control of all our digital services and infrastructure. Breaking this dependence through radical democratic alternatives should therefore be front and centre of Andy Burnham’s upcoming 10-year plan. (3/3)

A question for all you climate change deniers - are you seriously still not convinced? If not, what are your explanations for all the severe weather we are all experiencing?

I'll bet you these projects will never see a large chunk of that money. We pay for the system through our bills. Yet almost 1/3 of them go to returns for investors and creditors. We pay for the infrastructure, for the debt, for the profits. And they keep asking for more. We need public ownership.

It’s election week! At this important moment I would like to address your entire planet with a message to the people of Earth. And I think I found the perfect place to do it.

Once again @countbinface.bsky.social manages to make me feel more patriotic and proud to be British than 20 years of right wing whining and flag shagging ever managed.

1/3 The dangers of the NHS's £330m contract with Palantir are well known. A subscription-based contract that leaves the NHS without meaningful ownership. Lock-in to a single supplier that risks future price gouging. Critical health infrastructure dependent on a shady spy-tech company.

Because of worldly goings on, the price of oil has vastly increased. I presume then, these are passed along the chain to everyone, so, explain like I have no clue, how petrol firms have made, once again, record profits. It's almost like wars are good for them.

3/3 That’s why I’ve backed @stellacreasy's amendment to the Representation of the People Bill to cap political donations at £100,000. This would be a vital safeguard against billionaire capture of our politics and a important step towards rebuilding trust in our democracy.
