NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report.
Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.
El-Sayed on Trump's cognitive tests: "I went to medical school...In my neurology unit, I would have to give that MoCA exam...The only people that you give a MoCA test to are people who you worry may have cognitive deficits. By definition, if you're taking one of those tests, something's wrong."
"Grapefruit Diet" is better than "Zoot Suit Riot."
The Limp Bizkit cover of "Behind Blue Eyes" is better than the original.
There's never any reason to play the album version of "Hotel California" if the live version is also available.
Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights:
“I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”
BREAKING:
The Trump DOJ just sent letters to local election officials across California — every county in the state — demanding they identify potential noncitizens on their voter rolls and set aside their ballots.
Local officials would "risk significant federal scrutiny" if they failed to comply.

I'm kind of the opposite. I don't make enough time for art, so I'm perpetually unhappy with it, and not sure I'll ever get where I want to be. Just not enough time in the day.
since California ballots are now out:
prop 40 is the billionaire tax, and you should vote yes to stick it to them
but both props 41 and 42 are designed to retroactively cancel the billionaire tax because they’re afraid they can’t beat it at the ballot box
yes on 40, no on 41 and 42
This is a masterclass in effective communication while also not being afraid to point out bigotry for what it is. We should be so lucky to have someone like this in our government.
SCOOP: 'Tommy' from the now-viral exchange with Abdul El-Sayed is Thomas Teepell, a former staffer for Republican Senator Josh Hawley with close ties to Christian Nationalist Sean Feucht. He's the son of a former Bobby Jindal staffer whose consultant work was instrumental in getting Hawley elected.
Chuck Schumer — one of the most powerful Democrats in the country — has not issued statements to the press or through his social media channels about the administration’s attack on Ilhan Omar, which critics have described as a five alarm fire for the state of democracy in the U.S.
So this is the newly described tanystropheid Simonettoia tilaventina, which allegedly has a hyperelongate cervical 3 (and only cervical 3), shaded in blue here.
I have several reasons to doubt this beyond just how off it looks superficially:
One thing you’re seeing in the homestretch in both the Senate and the House is that a bunch of these “safe seat” Rs adapted to compete in an entirely intra-Republican ecosystem and are 100% unprepared to navigate an actual general election
SULLIVAN: We weren't supposed to get these questions beforehand, were we?
MODERATOR: No, neither one of you got questions beforehand

BREAKING NYT:
Trump's new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, was fired Friday, after less than a week on the job, according to three people familiar with the matter.
1) vance has this weird preoccupation with demanding that people show him gratitude
2) this is just another expression of the idea that some americans don’t count and at most should be seen and not heard
Granted, I've only made it to the 2nd boss, but so far, if Castlevania: Belmont's Curse wasn't called "Castlevania: Belmont's Curse," I wouldn't recognize it as Castlevania.
Note this doesn't mean it's bad or I don't like it. It's good and I do, it's not not really what I expected?
Bloodstained is (perhaps understandably) more recognizable as Castlevania.
So the thing I've realized is that 3/4K, while maybe being marginally better than BR for the majority of us, is actually just a scam to jack the price of physical media back up.
THE SHRUGFLATION TRIANGLE
I wrote about what happens when the two biggest borrowers in the economy seemingly stop caring what money costs: (1) oil, AI, and Treasuries feeding into each other (2) who ends up paying for it (people) and (3) why nobody seems to be able to stop it
OSSOFF: You didn't answer earlier. Answer now. Did Donald Trump win the 2020 election?
MIKE COLLINS: You know, the 2020 election. Everybody has seen my views on that
OSSOFF: What are they?
COLLINS: There was a lot of doubt in that election
OSSOFF: I didn't hear an answer

When I tried to rebel against taking my pancreatic enzymes when I was like ten. I didn't understand what Cystic Fibrosis was, I didn't like taking all these pills.
I quickly discovered that the pills were necessary. And shortly after that I got my first tune-up, which cemented it.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t.
If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious.
When did you first realize you were weird?
