El-Sayed on Trump's cognitive tests: "I went to medical school...In my neurology unit, I would have to give that MoCA exam...The only people that you give a MoCA test to are people who you worry may have cognitive deficits. By definition, if you're taking one of those tests, something's wrong."

It's one thing that #trumPOS doesn't seem to realize these are not difficult tests nor are they given regularly as a standard 🤔 It's quite something else that the entire #magaPOS community don't seem to realize this either 🧐 🤦🏼‍♂️ Dumb 🤦🏼‍♂️ Dumber 🤦🏼‍♂️ Dumbest 🤦🏼‍♂️

If they’re giving him the test, the first time, it’s to see if he has dementia. If they keep giving it as much as he says they are, it’s to monitor how bad his dementia is getting. Which means Trump has dementia.

It’s the people who are exhibiting cognitive decline symptoms. YES by definition something is wrong with him and furthermore when you getting it multiple times they are tracking the cognitive decline

I have been given the MoCA one time. When I was 20 after my severe TBI. I apparently did perfectly. I remember it and it's been 24 years. It's not impressive to do. If your brain works at all it should be easy. They said it was supposed to be easy. I have deficits, that test isn't sensitive enough.

I have face blindness now for example, and a really bad sense of time, to me things are happening right now, or they happened yesterday. I never know what day it is, I can barely keep track of the year. I don't know when anything happened. I'm not good at dates with history. Time/dates are my enemy.

I've always had a hard time with "the past" I dint remember if it was yesterday or last month. Like come home from school, mom would asked "what did you have for lunch?" "I don't remember..." as I remember every lunch time this school year. It's in the time and everyday. Which day isn't recorded.

I think that's basically how I feel, everything in the past, yesterday. All yesterday. 1775 as I learned it in history, yesterday. 1988 when I was six, yesterday. 1999 when I graduated high school and had to give the valedictorian speech, and my dad arrived in the middle, also yesterday.

Trump is too far gone to realise this though. He thinks they keep on showing him pictures of different animals to identify because they are training him to be a zoo-keeper.

Watch for it soon... a Trump tweet about how he has taken the cognitive test many times, and that no other President has, and that he can always identify the giraffe, and that El-Sayed would not be able to.

Hi! Parents here w cognitive impairment. The test is given once. And yes, only when there’s a reason to be concerned. The test isn’t repeated like your yearly blood test to track cholesterol. From the test, the next step is CT scans of the brain-not more q&a tests-no cure so just monitoring decline

They will keep ignoring his cognitive decline, until he is not mentally fit enough to stand trial for all his crimes.

If you’d like to witness a real-time example of Trump‘s intellectual prowess, just search YouTube for “Howard Stern Trump math.” You can watch the entire family hilariously struggle to multiply 17 x 6. Spoiler alert: they can’t.

And the only one who doesn't know that an MoCA exam is to test for cognitive decline is the guy being tested who's clearly in cognitive decline.

It’s about time someone said this out loud!! for Pete sake anybody in the medical field knows this, and those of us that have worked with the mentally ill as well. Trump is gonna blow his ever loving mind on truth social! 😩🤯

I think the docs aren't telling Donny DumDum that the MoCA exam AIN'T an intelligence test. Or...they just got sick & tired of explaining it to him (i.e. he just won't👂🏻LISTEN)!

Like many Americans, I’m no expert yet I’ve had personal experience with family members who were in cognitive decline. 🍊exhibits many of the behaviors I saw in my own family. They’re fooling no one but themselves.

The Democrats couldn’t call out impaired Republicans while Dianne Feinstein had the full support of her party. Biden said that his friend Mitch McConnell shouldn’t be pressure to retire despite being nonfunctional. Dems defended Biden because they felt entitled to a decrepit white guy of their own

I don’t think that’s the answer. I think it’s a combination of fear of the MAGA mob hurting them or their family, fear of Trump’s DOJ prosecuting them for some BS, and fear of their corporate donors bailing on them. In short - fear, not intellectual limitation.

Except you see this constantly in other races at every level. Here in VA dozens of Dems in the legislature knew about Jay Jones’ crazy texts but instead of sharing them with his primary opponent they just hoped the GOP didn’t know about them!

How do other people feel about El-Sayed calling him stupid? Hard to hear it in the context of talking about what I absolutely believe is dementia and by someone who is a physician. Not meaning to be critical, just noticed I was uncomfortable, conflicted.

I think it's okay if you morally wouldn't do that, but I think it's always good to remember that this is an ongoing context. One person called the other a militant religious extremist. The other called them stupid. I think one is more consequential than the other.

Simple cognitive tests, such as those Trump has been given with unusual frequency, are currently a standard part of annual wellness exams covered by Medicare. Administering those tests more frequently than once a year is likely an indication that the doctor is concerned about declining cognition.

I haven’t either during a wellness or physical, although I took several during a 20 week clinical study. That was to test the effectiveness of a substance given to a subgroup of volunteers. They were physical strength test as well in that case.

I think it would be more accurate to say “a standard recommendation” in annual exams, not “a standard part.” I’ve been on Medicare 8 years and have had them 3 times. Two separate Primary Care doctors have frankly told me they should give it but they don’t have trained people on staff.

This needs to be repeated by every democrat. Not sure why people aren't asking every Republican what the mental decline is that's being measured.

But Trump brags about taking the MOCA test over & over, not just 1x or 1x/yr for screening. He thinks he’s special, to be tested so often. Also, he’s repeatedly wrong about which animals (& how many) are on it! Also he thinks he’s smart for identifying animals? A preschooler can do that.

Maybe they’re going deluxe and varying the versions they give him, but the MOCA only has 3 animals (not 4) in all its versions and the animals he lists as occurring together on the test don’t occur together in any version that I’m aware of. (Based on having used MOCA in clinical practice, + search.)

The best thing that could happen to the "deep state" would be to allow socialists to form a political party. Within the "deep state"—aside from the millionaires, billionaires, and the politicians they have bribed—hardly anyone actually knows what socialism is. >>>>>>>>

>>>>>> This is because these millionaires, billionaires, and their bought-and-paid-for politicians realize that once socialism is permitted, it will never go away. >>>>>>>

>>>>>>>> They know they would have to share some of their stolen wealth with the people whose labor made them rich in the first place. That is why they propagate a false narrative, painting socialism as the devil incarnate.
