Agree basketball is an OCD friendly sport with the swooshes sprinkling in some ASMR.

Another way of saying… “I’ve never played sports”

Don’t get me started when a player forces the ball to NOT go in the hoop 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

AND because it goes into the hoop SO MANY TIMES!

@jonbois.bsky.social watch out

i especially like it when they turn on Big Head mode

You can also tell by their sneakers smoking

swoosh remains undefeated

You're saying the things that ESPN is too scared to talk about now

Came here to add this, but I'm glad you did. The swish is nice.

They should give that swooshing sound a cool name

Makes you wonder… what is the most satisfying sound in sports? The crack of a home run? Net on a perfect swish? Others?

We need more people like the guy who decided to place a microphone up there to catch that swoosh.

I go for team Australia 🇦🇺 and Adelaide Thunderbirds

When played right by a great team, basketball is one of the purest sports this side of golf.

If you've ever played basketball, it feels really good making that ball go into the little hoop. Just something thrilling about being that accurate, everything coming together and

I think the moment I knew Bluesky was gonna make it was when the sports takes took off

hm. much to consider

You’re overthinking it

Growing up at the start of the season they would stain the wooden floor again, the smell at the first practice on a freshly stained floor is the best

For me, it feels like a tennis match. I watch the last 2 minutes which can take 15 minutes

Boring but sadly perfect for 📺. NBA should only be seen midnight to 6am.

I’ve always thought about what James Naismith would say about today’s game and the athleticism, especially in the NBA. I imagine a movie with him watching an NBA game in the arena, with his mouth open in disbelief, and the. Hearing his comments.

You are on to something.

If you consider it from this perspective, you make a pretty good point actually.🤔🤔🙏🙏

It is an activity of many pleasures. As one of our finest thinkers, Kurtis Blow, said: "Basketball is my favorite sport. I like the way they dribble up and down the court."

I like basketball because it's one of the few sports where you can see the players' facial expressions.

My friend you just figured out the secret of life

What, no heavily sourced, easily digestible breakdown about the truth behind the serotonin boost involved with basketball??

The Mayans would agree

Are you a "rationalist?"

so many good variations on watching the ball go in the little hoop. "(eyeing the arc of the ball skeptically) I don't think that's going- HELL YEAH!!! WOOOO!! YAY! YIPPEE!!!" is one of my faves.

This is the level of sports commentary I require.

In all it’s many ways…

Zzzz 118 - 117. Wow what a game. 😂

The best thing about football is waiting for the ball to finally go in the goal, usually 2 or 3 times in 90 minutes.

I fell out of love with basketball a long time ago, but yeah, there's nothing quite so satisfying as a cleanly swished shot.

Hockey is much better!! Watching that puck go into that net with the big goalie doing everything he can to stop it!! 🩵🩵

Please don't ruin this...

It’s the net that makes it satisfying.

I personally dislike basketball because of the squeaky noise the shoes make on the floor. If they can get that figured out I'll give it another shot.

zzzz

Many people are saying this 🙂‍↕️

I like when they try to chase the ball out of bounds

Wait, did the ball go?!

Luka Garza #timberwolves

So that's it..😂

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 omfg I tried my best to hold back from busting out laughing😭😭😭

I can’t take watching grown men dribbling all over the place!

I love the little "swoosh" noise the net makes when the ball goes through

Unless you’re a Sixers fan. We’ve not seen the ball go in the hoop enough.

mostly i just hope both teams have fun tho.

🔺️ Those that gnome 🗿

That only happens for like, 10% of the game though, so the rest is just a lot of skidding and squeaking.

Watching the ball bounce up and down is mesmerizing too.

It’s the best sport for sufferers of ADHD. Continuous dopamine creation. The action rarely stops long enough to get distracted.

I love how babygirl coded this is

I find it boringly predictable

As a below average player, it also feels good to make the ball go in the little hoop

I especially like the type of basketball played in the NBA. They love the swish sound so much that the other team doesn't even try to stop it. They are so eager for that sound that they just shoot from anywhere in the court.

I stopped watching the NBA when they stole my Sonics.. Refuse to watch until they return ..

Haha its like one of those satisfying videos. Its like get innnnn.

anticipation -> satisfaction loop, every time
