It can be, but tbh, I don't mind if it isn't. If it's just the nicer version of Twitter then that's fine too.

Competitor? They look similar but miles apart in principle. You compare Skype to ICQ. I hope key principles of open network protocol become the norm like SMTP or HTTP.

What a brave and hot take, definitely worth 4k likes from blue sky's bots

Very thankful for this. Too many billionaires controlling all information these days.

I have lifelong friends who weren’t on Twitter, but are opening accts here, because they heard it was safe….. I have to concur….this site will give Leon a run for his money….

I agree hehe

😱

Ha! Sounds like fun!

This will age like fine milk

it won't overtake twitter. twitter died when elon bought it. this will over take x

And we're not going back.🇺🇲👊

Looking better every day 👍

I sure hope so. I had to leave X it was way too toxic.

I think more center right and center people will be here over the dumpster fire of an app fElon is creating.

Oh yeah. As long as they don’t sell it. Ehem

I am on both.

I want all my friends to leave all Meta/Zuck products, too.

Excited!

Amen to that!!!!!! Actually it's better than twitter, and they are just getting started on all the features.

We’ll bury x

Very.

Welcome to the here there after!

The vibe is much better for sure. Adding 1m per day. I deactivated my X account today! Felt great

Let's make it happen. Follow like minded people, repost, and keep it civil.

Living rent free in your head.

I think it should have ads along the lines of what Spoutible runs.

Big possibility unless people pivot to instagram threads, its got about 200 million users. I have my reservations about using that considering how Zuckerberg/Meta helped swing the election to the right with their 0 moderation and taking money from anyone to make up for metaverse losses

Certainly taking off here in the UK, joined a while back but was a bit of a desert then. More of our big names joining all the time.

Nice post yes many people agree that X must is losing it why many people has switched to Bluesky

Seeing as Twitter has been steadily hemorrhaging users (and advertisers) since he bought it, and most of the expats are coming here.... ..... Bad Place loses, Good Place wins.

Super sweet!

Same. It seems all my kinda people are here.

It honestly looks like people have this as an alternative. Dare I say this is the defacto place now as well with the mass exodus

Space corp directive 8213.45 says never count your ostriches before they hatch. Kryten, get in the kitchen and make me a smeggin’ egg sandwich!

The resistance!

I wanted to point out that despite your account looking legitimate at _second_ glance, your site adamkinzinger.komi.io doesn't link back to Bluesky and your handle isn't verified as a domain, so it takes a second look. May be worth considering one or both.

Right on. It’s making me not give a crisp about # of followers at X. I could go back to ten here and be happier with content and community at Bluesky.

I hope it’s something different. Not competition.

Couldn't agree more. This place looks so much nicer than X right now.

Agree

Can’t wait to see the add on integrations. And hopefully it will stay open once these mature.

It also helps that this is the same layout as classic Twitter, so familiarity helps the transition

I think it will kill twitter. But then again I really don’t think they will be welcome here.

To make it work more people need to ditch the muskrat

Guaranteed big accounts on X will do well here.

I do NOT miss constant comments from Elon's blue checked Nazi fanboys tweeting from Mommy's basement. Or Catturd.

Yeah, I read it. Most will be little fish.

It certainly is!

💯👏👏👏

It’s so nice not being called stupid or idiot or insert dog whistle/hidden racial slur or threatened.

You're my hero 💙

What about risks that polarization, trolling, bots will move here?

Life is good here.🌞

We’re going to make it bigger

So far. There are still MAGA trolls. Does anyone have a block list?

Now if we can only get 1,000,000+ users to delete their Twitter accounts on the same day, I think that might hit old muskrat in the wallet.

I love that!

I hope so. I miss the instant news i received but I left there bc of Musk.

Excited you have joined us. Huge fan!

More than a competitor, BlueSky may just be the new “Voice of America” for the next 4 years in the battle against Autocracy.

I'm sure loving it!

Can only hope. I wish my children's school and Total Traffic around the United States would hop on as well.

👍🏼

🤣🤣 both dropping in the stock price and X would be consumed by truth. Making Elon, Trumps b*t*h once more!! 🤣🤣😎 The End!!

Where’s Liz!?

I hope so and I’m so glad you’re here, Adam. I have so much respect for you.

So long Elon.

100%

Been trying to keep something active on Threads just because, but it's buggy. I've lost screeds of carefully written posts cos I'd to go check something and poof it's scrolled away and vanished. You have to search for the following posts in a thread, they're just dumped somewhere underneath. Bleah!

So needed. I am so convinced the election was overwhelmingly influenced by deliberately misinformation and effective propaganda!

I think it will too!

It’s from the original creators of Twitter. So it’s the same! Just without all the angry yelling people😂

Poor Elonia 🤣

#NAFO is loving it 🤣

Hopefully won't die like threads

I don’t think it’ll be that hard to overtake Twitter. The hatred for Musk alone will drive its demise.

Scientific and journalistic conversations are not an echo chamber. Those cannot be had with 90% of MAGA.

1000% Here for it.

Even if musks chimps come here they still don’t have his algorithm backing nor does he own the platform. They are at a disadvantage from not having musk-rats fascDEI for them.

You also declared with absolute certainty that Kamala was going to win the election. Anyone taking predictions of success from you must be hitting Hunter's stash and deserves yo lose all their money. 🤣😂🤣😂

Twitter is collapsing under the weight of MAGAts, Nazis and White Supremists.

I agree, just signed up today and it seems that it will give twitter a run for the money. Thank you for putting country over party, as a whole we all need to do that.

I think it already is...

Nah. It’s not just politics and newsflash. I’m seeing spontaneous variety!

I took @muellershewrote.bsky.social ‘s suggestion and moved the other app several app pages away on my phone, and it’s been a huge quality of life boost.

Twitter will be bankrupt before 2026.

Yep. I had signed up a few months ago but at that time it wasn't...but the last week has seen a mass exodus and my feed is full of all favorite peeps again. Giving me the info I need to face what is ahead.

So glad you made the move! 👍🏽

I remember you from over there Dena....

Sweet

Yay! You're here!

Bluesky reminds me of Threads right now. Not everybody is on it.

How?

I know it's against their ethos, but I hope they get a few big advertisers/investors/news orgs onboard, just to get them financially viable and functional long-term. Because I like this place.

It’s a nicer platform.

I‘m not interested in X anymore. Musk can shove X up his a$$.

Don't forget to invite your friends and family to bluesky !

So nice not to play the game of … “Is it a bot? Or just an asshole?” (Bluesky rules: It doesn’t matter. If they infect the space, BLOCK.)

Once the hateful asylum, bots, and Russian farms don't have anybody to troll, X will slowly die off.

Bluesy isn't a competitor - it's a replacement for X!

Yeah, that's fine but he started it. I've been waiting for several years for someone to just remake Twitter and it was already here.

surely this will age well

Followed a proud RINO today. 👍🏼

X is going away. Byeeeeee

This worked great for me chromewebstore.google.com/detail/sky-f...
