Are the details of this story missing? As in... Donald Trump made up a story about vandals destroying the pool. In other words, one of his lies per minute. His target (the accused) should get a hefty punitive settlement.

The “story” is of no interest to them now when it makes their former and future hires look bad. Telling the truth now to update the viewers becomes a “reflection pool story” of 30+ years of the BS they spread, without a requirement of a retraction or at least apologizing for their rhetoric.

Maybe they can be sued again.

It's just like retractions in old time newspapers. The wrong info was plastered across page 1 and the retraction was in tiny print somewhere past the obituaries. Corrections never get attention. That is why we used to demand that they be right about what they reported the first time.

But not technically relevant to the case at hand as it does not matter as far as the accusedf is concerned whether the contractor was simply terrible or it was a terrible contractor hired after a bribe.
