Wow, I hate it. I absolutely despise the entitled mentality that, "oh, this isn't behind a paywall, so I must just be able to take it and repurpose it without asking." No! No you can't! You need to ask first before lifting 67,000 of my words for your project!

@bretdevereaux.bsky.social not sure if you're aware of this but apparently someone has set up a substack/podcast network that uses AI to read random blog articles and your series on peasant life is one of them: askwhocastsai.substack.com/p/collection...

Everyone keeps asking me how I’m feeling about early voting so far. I’m feeling like nobody *actually* knows anything, and this is the most important midterm of our lives. I’d rather be us than them, but we can’t get comfortable. We can’t get complacent. Go vote like we’re down 3%.

Just another reminder: VOTE Democratic on (or before, if possible) Nov. 3rd. Do NOT let the Republican Party’s intimidation or other efforts to keep you away stop you. Do whatever you have to, no matter how hard they try to make it. VOTE as if your life and liberty depends on it!

Miller deserves everything that's coming. He's afraid of state prosecutors because a presidential pardon only covers federal offenses; and beyond prison, there's also future congressional investigations and civil lawsuits. www.rawstory.com/rs-exclusive...

EL-SAYED: I get that the President takes personal offense to my first name. He doesn't mind as much when it's the Saudis who are funding his son-in-law's private equity. Doesn't seem to mind as much when it's the Qataris who are giving them a $400 million private jet…

Every eligible voter deserves to have their ballot counted. Election security requires reliable evidence and lawful procedures. Threatening election workers does not make an inaccurate list accurate. Please stay engaged, track your ballot, and don’t let intimidation stop you from voting!

There's a scenario in which the Supreme Court gets this case in December and three justices involved in Bush v. Gore on behalf of Bush will be asked whether confusion is grounds to reject election results.

The Trump administration is preemptively suing to block Alaska from certifying a Mary Peltola victory, should she win. Their argument is that the double Dan Sullivan thing is confusing voters. www.reuters.com/world/trump-...

This is all being done by the private prison contractor GEO Group, whose executives and employees should face prosecution and which should be expunged as a corporate entity. The punishment needs to be so severe it serves as an example for decades.

Please note: Even in states that use paper ballots, some voters use accessible touchscreen devices to mark or print their ballots. That means paper ballots don’t rule out a touchscreen issue. We’re being told screen calibration may explain the reported problems, but that has not been confirmed.

I want to hear less about the polls and more about the consequences. The media should be focused on what the next 2 years will look like if Trump continues to be unchecked by Congress.

Another reminder: take what the polls are saying with a grain of salt, and make sure you VOTE. Do not get complacent, do not get lazy. If you want the current insanity to end, the MANDATORY first step is to vote the Fascists out, at ALL levels of government. VOTE AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!

Do not trust the polls. Do not allow yourself to become complacent. Vote early — and get your friends and family to vote. Do not let Elon, Big Tech, Big Oil, AI, and the billionaire class buy this election. We outnumber them — and we're the only ones that can put an end to this nightmare.
