The fact that people refer to themselves as OWNERS of animals is really hilarious. Does your cat take you to the doctor? Does your dog walk you twice daily no matter what the weather conditions are? Does your bunny do your grocery shopping? And who pray tell, cleans up all of that shit?

#Dogs are faaaar to good for and to humans. Human-Canine relationships are an #evolutionary win-win #partnership between two species, both #intelligent enough to appreciate each other’s #kindness & #love. #DogsFTW #GoodestDoggo

Which hospital? If dog owners were allowed to bring their dogs it would be very normal to see this. That's why we want to know which hospital. My dogs would do that if we let them. Please tell us which hospital this is so we can move there.

Our doxie, William, did the very same thing when I was recovering from being hospitalized for 8 days, the result of my body not being able to metabolize my chemotherapy. Never left me, not even to bo out to potty…waited until my husband got home from work. He didn’t sleep, he just watched over me!

This should be allowed in every hospital. There is no doubt that pets are responsiblr for better healing, and all-around better health. Bless this pooch! And a big get well to his owner. ❤️

my experience, pit bulls are notoriously vigilant when they feel someone is vulnerable. small example. neighbors dying cat took to laying at the base of our tree. wouldn't stay home, no one knew why except my dog. A vigilant guardian sitting beside it, as if the cat knew it could die in peace there

Whereas a Husky would just pat the ambulance door on its way out wishing their owner good luck in the hospital and they’ll do their best to stay out of the food. I had a pitty for 16 years and it is a completely different experience than having a Husky.

I’ve had two Huskies, and they’re part wolf and more of a pack animal. The family is the pack. So, they’re not loyal to one person in particular. However, they will bond with the person that spends the most time with them: feeding, walking, playing…

It took a while for my gal to bond with me because of her trauma & she had an injury from being abused, but I’ve had her for 4 years now & she now gives me that love stare where she just gets dopamine from staring at her pack leader. I’m almost certain she was a homeless man’s dog before I got her.

I hate to attribute anything to breeds, as different as people are. it's just insecure psychopaths don't go for poodles, seek out bigger dogs to make psychotic. i only mention breed to offset some of that. I want to emulate no man I know, but wish i could live up to dog standards, failing but trying

I wear my t-shirt that says I just want to make my dog proud & it’s true. My pitty was fiercely loyal and a total cuddle bug, but my Husky is like a cat where she wants nothing to do with me and sleeps as far away from the bed as possible.

You just did though in your previous comment. If you are prepared to attribute positive attributes to breeds, you can't selectively opt out of traits perceives as less positive or negative. Is there any evidence for it being breed specific? Or just people's personal experiences with their own dogs?

A beautiful thing about Hospice: They welcome the patient's pets, knowing the pet aids in a better comfort & even possible small remissions & that the pet also needs to be able to have their opportunity to say goodbye to their persons. They grieve too & instinctively know death, helps💔s heal faster🫂

people say dogs only behave like this because you feed them. they only want you for food. i’m NOT a dogs are the world type of person but that is utter bullshit. they are the definition of loyalty. it’s not transactional.

An ER doc told me that on occasion he’ll have a patient who needs to be admitted to the hospital but is reluctant because they don’t have someone to care for their dog. Now I’m wondering if this is something other ER docs come across.

My biggest concern for them is how wrecked one will be when the other is gone. I hope that girl doesn’t have anything terminal but she’s going to be wrecked when her dog goes over the rainbow bridge. It’s one of the reasons I am trying to live without animals but I don’t think it will continue. 😔

I did not notice its got a home made service dog tag on I hope its actually a real service dog trained to be a service dog and not just a fucking idiotic owner that made a service dog leash because that looks like no legitimate service dog harness I have ever seen

I’m right there with you. Home from the hospital after surgery on my severely broken ankle. Hachi and Sammy Boy are on healing duty 24/7. They barely let me move! My 14 year old cat recently joined their efforts so now they are all friends.

Beautiful! I had my wisdom teeth out and my mom came to stay with me. She said my boy never once would leave my side, even to eat. I slept for 2 days straight. She had to hand feed him in my bed and then pick him up to make him go outside. Dogs are the most loyal of friends.

Its said that people get better twice as fast when they have their loved ones including their pets by their side. Just think about that for a few minutes. KODOS to the hospital that let the dog stay. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Immer.
