A new idea on the possible relation between UK and EU: Switzerland plus, with UK also involved in some decision making in EU. Too soon to say if its good or bad - we need to chew on this - but new ideas should always be welcome.

Manchester City cheated Premier League rules, the Commission found. Did it also cheat HMRC? We've examined the decision and leaked Mancini documents. We think City likely failed to pay £12m in tax. There should be a criminal investigation. Thread:

This is testament to No.10's frankly astonishing degree of political competence. A policy which was branded electoral suicide 48 hours ago now showing signs of robust popularity.

As I board the ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki, I’m reminded yet again of three things about the EU: 1) You don’t sacrifice any of your national identity or culture by being part of the EU. Estonia remains Estonia. Finland remains Finland 2) Schengen is great. 3) Brexit was and is shit.

"The average Briton's wealth has fallen by more than a fifth over the past 5 years". If only there were an obvious reason why. I can't think of anything significant happening around 5 years ago that could make Britain so vulnerable. Let's make the person that made Brexit happen our Prime Minister.

The people have continued to speak for 10 years now. Brexit was a huge mistake, it has robbed us of our rights and opportunities and damaged the country. We need a government that will rejoin the SM and a CU as a matter of urgency. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Nigel Farage pocketed a £5 million Brexit reward. When he promised we would be better off, he clearly only meant himself. 10 years on, it's time to end the chaos and fix our broken relationship with Europe, starting by joining the single market.

It’s been five years since Alex Jones lost InfoWars to the Sandy Hook families. As the verdict came down, he asked: “Do these people actually believe they’re getting any money?” He hasn't paid them a penny. Well, The Onion is going pay them anyway. The new InfoWars begins July 2nd at 8 p.m. ET.

🚨🚨All agree with this and I thought for this quite some time and I do not see any real meaningful option for the UK in a long-term perspective left than reopening the highly divisive "rejoin" debate- there seems to be no other realistic alternatives available. And this debate needs to start now. /1

Long-bored (sorry, long-time) followers will be aware that I have been saying for some months that the UK will not be getting special deals from the EU, and that was exactly why some people were starting to talk again about rejoin. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...
