What I learned from Prince and Muhammad Ali was that it’s possible to love yourself so much that everybody else does, too.

Do you really not actually understand the difference between Black men standing up for civil rights and human rights and their communities through self-determination and self-love and a white supremacist fascist who inflicts authoritarianism on others?

of course & more power to all the oppressed & those degraded.....but it also expresses the attitude of too many of the already privileged....here's hoping that our Golden Age of Narcissism will give way to a new age of empathy & compassion some day.... maybe 1000s of years from now?

I saw Prince on tour with the Rolling Stones in 1981, I loved him but everyone threw trash at the stage because the audience was a bunch of bikers. He sure came a long way! 👍

It was wild, there were lots of bikers to see the Stones and a mix to see J Guiles band, which was who I wanted to see. But I remember it so well because of Prince. I've been to like 200 concerts here.

That may be true for some who are impressed by appearances, but if it were generally true then we would all love narcissistic, racist, misogynists like the orange turd in the white supremacist house.

Narcissists are fueled by deep-seated insecurity... They only appear to love themselves as compensation for feelings of inadequacy and self-loathing. Which is why it only works on about a quarter of people

Just not on the bus ok guys 😂 no for real tho, human psychology retain 10 negative impressions for every one. If you are expressing negativity towards yourself that is what others pick up on and resonate with. The inverse might be true I’d have to stop biting people to test it.not sure it’s worth it

from what i’ve heard.. Prince could put. it. down. between the sheets. I think when you know you’re a fuckmaster things change about any other part of your self doubt. Need a lift? Go make someone see God in an orgasm. His songs are like audio sex. I have opinions

I add Tupac, and K.Dot to that list Marcus Garvey also tried to teach us self- love, John Henrik Clark, Ivan Ver Sertima, and countless more, tried to get us to see it starts with the self- love, because all the other self-healing energies follow, self- worth, self- dignity all of them. Great post

True! I just went to the Ali Center in Louisville and it was great in all the ways you expect but what bowled me over were his DRAWINGS. Little stick figure doodles he made of events in his life and passing observations and the captions on them. That man didn’t miss a thing.
