HARF: What do you say to people who work for the VA who can't man the suicide hotline now bc they've been fired? JOHNSON: Look, in Elon's defense, there's no playbook for what he's doing. So as he acknowledged, there are gonna be some mishaps & mistakes. But we will do course correction immediately

They did. It's called "Project 2025" and it says to destroy everything. Many of these "mishaps" cannot be corrected. Won't matter if a court says it was illegal. Once it's gone, it's gone. They are "aborting" government services. Even an illegal abortion is permanent.

AMERICA: "Look, in Elon's discredit, there IS a playbook for what he's doing. It's called the CONSTITUTION. And it says what he's doing is ILLEGAL." "THAT's the mishap & mistake. And, the course correction you need to do immediately is to get Elon and DOGE out of our government."

The richest man in the world is basically just flipping switches at the circuit breaker of the country, haphazardly turning stuff off and seeing what happens. What’s the emergency? Oh, yeah, tax cuts. Hopefully he can become a trillionaire. If we all pitch in, we can make the dream come true!

Translation: Look, we're letting Elon wreck everything, and, as he said, people he doesn't care about are going to die. But I assure you, when people start complaining about it loud enough, my colleagues and I will pretend to do something about it.

Ask Johnson, "Why are YOU letting Trump circumvent the Constitution?" "Are you okay with the president dismantling a budget that Congress already passed?" "If Kamala had won, would you still allow this reckless behavior?" "Are you okay with an unelected person deciding the future of US policy?"

I think it’s becoming obvious to all Veterans regarding of party that Speaker Mike Johnson needs to be replaced in 2026 midterms. Truly Trump supporters are the only ones that can force Trump no not listen to the Billionaires whispering in his ear.

U can always find a bot or idiot saying stupid things. But I don’t see evidence that’s the norm personally from my friends that support Trump. I have heard friends I know personally say they know Latinos that voted for Trump that regret it.So let’s focus more on those who are doubting their choice

There is a body of law and regulations that define exactly how to conduct a large Reduction In Force (RIF). The USG has done this before. This is not new territory. But Elmo doesn’t want to obey the law. He just wants to fire everybody, starting with the agencies that regulate his businesses.

"There's no playbook" is the same as "we don't know what we're doing." You wouldn't bake a cake that way and expect anything good. But why not run the government that way? It shows how little regard they have for governing.

That guy has totally abdicated his role in the legislative branch of government. Trump basically told him and his caucus that that he doesn't need them, that he made them all irrelevant, and they jumped up and cheered. #Pathetic

tHeRe'S nO pLaYbOoK ... "The Congress shall have Power ... To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof."

Actually, there is a "playbook" for what Elon Musk is doing, and it's there to prevent the chaos that he's creating. It's called THE CONSTITUTION. And Mike Johnson, ostensibly, is supposed to be applying the rules found in Article 1 of that document.

Maybe. Doing nothing is tantamount to surrender to King George, or in our own times, surrender to Vladimir Putin. I'd like to see Democrats actually put Republicans to the test - to make them show voters in their districts that they don't support Veterans, Social Security, Ukraine, the rule of law.

The "mistake" of not manning the #SuicideHotline will increase the number of suicides ... it will cost lives. A "mistake" is not ordering enough ink for the printer or spilling coffee on a document. Killing people is not a "mistake"

There are two large VA locations in Palo Alto, if there are any Tesla Offices left there, I hope the Veterans & staff all March down there & protest! There is still a Tesla Dealership on El Camino & one in Stanford shopping Center.

The IT department where I used to work was kind of like Musk. Because of rapid turnover, nobody could keep track of who owned or used a service. To find out, they'd turn a service off and see who complained.

Actually there *is* a playbook. A highly detailed one. The GAO publishes a roadmap on where to find waste and fraud: * IRS (lack of) enforcement * Medicare / Medicaid billing * Earned income tax credit and unemployment overpayment * Pentagon procurement www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

washingtonpost.comOpinion | If Musk wants to find waste, here’s where he should lookThe Government Accountability Office has been rooting out federal waste, fraud and abuse since 1921.

Musk’s effort is chaotic and unorganized with the goal of break then fix if needed. Clinton conducted a successful federal workforce reduction with Congressional oversight. Orderly and more respectful

Everything they’re been doing is illegal, immoral or unconstitutional. THANK GAWD it’s never happened before and I hope it’s prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It is my sincere desire to have this abject dreg of a man LIGHT YEARS away from our Congress effective January 6, 2027.

"Mishaps and mistakes" are privileges of the rich and powerful. Civil servants, veterans --*they* have to justify keeping their jobs with a list of "five things I did this week," and hope that list is acceptable to the stumbling rich and powerful.

Suckers and losers don't need help. What's the worst that could happen? Headline from Central.New York newspaper recently. "VA patient died by suicide at top of hospital’s garage in Syracuse"

Al Gore did a similar ‘cleaning of government employees’ in the 1990’s. Methodically and with intention, he looked for duplication in duties. He saved millions of taxpayer dollars. All without any lawsuits or loss of services.

I bet he didn't cut staff of any suicide hotlines or air traffic controllers. We really need some methodology & intention. Instead we have reckless & ignorant.

So asinine!! You don’t shut down depts, layoff people, and then evaluate if you made a mistake! Kind of like his rockets, don’t know if they work until they blow up!

I realized long ago even the “best” conservatives, if forced to be honest, would have to admit they really don’t care if people die. They will never find “This will cause unnecessary deaths” a compelling argument for anything that they believe will lower their taxes. Even when it won’t lower them.

There doesn't have to be mishaps and mistakes. Those lives are on Musk's hands and his ignorant mismanagement. He's got no idea what he's destroying until he breaks it. If he would slow down and do his job properly, he might understand 1) what the government does and 2) how the government does it.

Audits are done. By qualified expert auditors. United States Digital Service, which doge “replaced”, was a group of government technologists who use design and technology to improve digital services for the public. How tf can my old non-techy ass know something Johnson doesn’t?

Elon has had 2 of his SpaceX rockets blow the hell up. I don’t think we got our money’s worth from him. Consider this… he should use his own money until he gets it right. Then, we can reimburse him! Incentive to get it right BEFORE he spends our money to screw things up!

True “red-blooded, American patriots” should be absolutely livid at this nonsense. Wake the fuck up you stupid idiots! Wealthy assholes are ruining what actually ‘made this country great’, you fuckwits!!!
