Trump: “They threw a little fertilizer in the water”

When he marvels about people coming up with the idea of using a knife on the pool, does he remember bragging when the work was being done that you wouldn't even be able to cut the renovation work with a knife?

Every reporter needs to follow up with “Unless you or your administration produces evidence in support of X, we’re going to assume you just made it up.” So tired of him.

Will any reporter ask anyone in this stupid administration where is the proof to show the “vandals” cutting the liner of the pool? The only vandalism I saw was a video of Trump and his motorcade driving across the empty pool..

A grown man lying to the world just because he will not admit failure. So pathetic and weak. Hits removal cannot come fast enough.

He’s right that they threw fertilizer in the water, but he’s lying about who “they” are They refilled the reflecting pool with municipal water, which is dosed with organophosphate to minimize lead leaching from pipes, and which is also … fertilizer

No because you would have caught someone like that on camera. You just painted it a darker color which retained heat causing algae to grow faster, couple that with pour filtration and that’s what happened

The More Trump talks, the Dumber he looks. It's fairly obvious to everyone that Trump did what Trump does. The entire Trump Business is represented by this fiasco of corruption and incompetence. You would have to be Stupid to do business with a Trump.

Who exactly is this fictitious “they” he speaks of? There is never a follow up or specifics. He created an “enemy” and now just has to use a generic pronoun for his followers who have been conditioned to believe, follow and hate

CNN is reporting this story but they clearly emphasize that these claims are unproven and lack evidence. They are unable to verify Trump's story and have labeled his assertions as a "murky mess of unproven claims and provably false claims."

Could it be that president stained-trousers actually happened to walk past the pool after the renovation? An accident happens so easilly after all.

If someone really did put fertilizer in it (which I highly doubt) being as fertilizer has another much shorter name beginning with S and ending in T, I'd say the vandal was just making a statement... if you get my point.
