I unmuted to hear it. That's a pretty reckless framing by you, Aaron. Unneeded, unnecessary and makes me less prone to follow your coverage. Sorry, but it's the truth.

Maybe you grow up in poverty or a single-parent household, but hey, sometimes that turns out okay and that's proof that poverty is just a choice you make in a total vacuum. I want to hear the explanation from these fuckers as to why people born rich stay rich instead of falling into poverty ->

<- even when they're *complete* fuck-ups – and then explain how their parents' wealth giving them multiple chances to fuck up when a poor person only gets one (or none) fits into the idea of "meritocracy".

Standard brain dead MAGAt talking points. He’ll be chastised for not throwing the transgender athlete boogeyman out there though. #fucktrump #fuckthegop

I'm from South Carolina. My humble apologies for Darline, Tim, and Nancy. There are so many more, but I don't have enough characters left to list them all. You should see the WTF ads Darline is running against Dr. Annie Andrews. It's all about how Dr. Andrews wants boys in girls' locker rooms.

I’m sure the people are going to rush to the polls to vote R if they can be Tim Scott “but in poverty” 😳🙈 WTFF …even 2 braincells rubbed together could say things that aren’t crazy

"Maybe in poverty", is that this Golden Age kool aid? Guess having a extra hole in the head is a desirable trait the Tim Scott envy's?

WTF? That's not even a direct answer to the question. And, let's face it..."the party" doesn't exist right now. It's just a coven of spayed and neutered losers who fully surrendered their authority to Trump. Voters care about that, or they don't. American voters are notoriously apathetic.

Hey Tim Scott, you moron, Democrats don't want anyone to have to grow up in poverty They want everyone to have opportunities Through education, training, good jobs, fair wages, affordable housing, health care, and a compassionate society that helps those in need A good quality of life ⬇️ or ⬇️

an actual component of project 2025, a financially depressed populace is easier to control, if you’re struggling to exist you don’t have time for much else, the images of bread lines in the empty shelved stores of the Soviet Union pop to mind

Trump on Fox Feb/2014> “You know what solves it? When the economy crashes, when the country goes to total hell and everything is a disaster. Then you’ll have a [chuckles], you know, you’ll have riots to go back to where we used to be when we were great.” credit: @sarahkendzior.bsky.social

I cannot even with this garbage. We could eliminate poverty just by taxing Elon Musk!!!! That man's about as useful a period product designed by an all male research team. Tax him into lower middle class life!!

I don't think people are prepared for the absolutely horrifying barrage of debauched, unconstitutional, belligerent, undemocratic, abhorrent and poison-pilled legislation that will be rammed through congress and onto Trump's desk between November 4th and noon on January 3rd.

Vote Republican. You too can bring your children up in poverty. It made us who we are. And you too can be human-like empty shells.

Holy shit! Again: 🤡Tim Scott🤡 is absolutely the most pathetic person to have ever been elected to any office in the United States - ever! What is wrong with the people in South Carolina that they want this fool representing them?

Tim Scott is my junior senator here in South Carolina and he is an utter fool Honestly - he’s just a stooge for Trump - and Scott will get thrown under the bus 🚌 just like Lindsey Graham did. #ETTD

Tim Scott's 2026 pitch: vote Republican so the next generation can grow up like he did. Maybe in poverty. A childhood of poverty as a campaign promise. They are out here selling hardship like it's a feature.

Perfect example on why Lady Graham will win the senate seat in South Carolina, those backwater rednecks will vote for anything with an (R) next to a candidate’s name, and Uncle Tom proves that time and time again.

Oh you can be pretty darn sure that if the Republicans stay in power that the next generation will grow up in poverty. Intellectually, monetarily, morally and otherwise.

Just, what? What did I just hear? Is he hearing himself? And not just that last zinger. Good lord, dude. They are never going to pick you.

A lot of comments focusing on that not answering the question rather than that "I want to make sure the next generation can grow up ... in poverty" would be a completely fair edit of that sentence

If Democrats voted against legislation it is only because Republicans attached something to the bill that was absolutely horrific and unacceptable - & no doubt would only benefit billionaires & harm regular Americans. Democrats are looking out for us.

The Golden Age...meaning the Gilded Age Redux. Welcome back Jim Crow, Monopoly, rife political corruption, adulterated foods and medicines, child labor, truncated public education, union busting, unsafe working conditions, water and air, genocide, with a christofascist theocracy chaser.

Tim Scott likes to believe Trump sees him the way he does his white buddies, never realizing Trump would just as soon deport him because of his skin color.

Maybe in poverty is wild. What the actual fuck? So they are not evening hiding it. They are morally bankrupt and they want to literally bankrupt the rest of Americans. Foh. Vote them the hell out. This is repugnant.

He started to have a thought there (probably something about people starting off in poverty growing to be successful), but he overtaxed his brain and couldn't complete it...

Yeah . . . Speaking from experience, a downward trajectory is far more common. My parents were working poor, occasionally dipping into poverty. We were definitely white trash, but we were the "invading that not quite so nice suburban neighborhood" white trash. 1 step up from trailer trash.
