"She's standing right there. Margo, you're not going to have to worry about it" -- Trump tells his assistant Margo Martin that she will get a pardon from him

He knows that people charged with crimes "go through hell and lose all their money," but to Trump, that's a feature, not a bug.

When is one of these knuckleheads going to ask him why anybody might need a pardon? If nobody's doing anything wrong, what's the problem? If Ds are just being vindictive, people will be found innocent and exonerated. The press sucks.

No pardons for people on your payroll. Or donors. Or for foreigners or those convicted of fraud. Or family members maybe….. So basically, no pardons for Republicans.

A president shouldn't have that much power. Pardons should be granted by at least 75% of Congress.

Who in this abomination of an administration is innocent? They are ALL enablers of a deranged criminal conman. They may be pardoned, but they will be shunned by society the rest of their life.

The pardon power was never meant to be used to encourage administration officials to commit crimes on behalf of the president. All of his pardons need to be thrown out.

Can't wait for Trump to be found guilty in the American Nuremberg trials and all his pardons forfeit (so sorry, Margo)

Wait until they realize the next administration can just take extra-judicial measures to punish those who have been pardoned and then pardon those people.

Is this how it will go from now on? Each administration pardoning its own people before the next one comes in to exact justice/take revenge? It's completely and utterly bonkers.

It would be better to end pardons for officials entirely and instead write into law that a departing administration is fully audited by an independent body after it leaves. That might make those in power think twice about committing any potential crimes whilst in office.

He's starting to get scared because he knows the rat are starting to flee the sinking ship and he doesn't want people talking. Classic flailing mob boss behavior.
