My advice to younger selves is to ask how the manager would deal with rude customers shouting at young staff. If it's not along the lines of "kick the f*cker out the door", don't take the job: it's likely the manager treats the staff just as poorly. Best boss I ever had had a preferred head-lock.

There's a locally famous ice cream and sandwich joint where my parents live and it is staffed by teens and they do make mistakes but they're all really nice and will go out of their way to help you (putting your ice cream in the delivery fridge while you wait for the sammies) so you go with it

In Canada, people are screaming because these jobs are being taken by South Asian Temporary foreign workers because they screw up a lot less than stoned 16 year olds.

I just got curious and had to look at Michael’s other reviews. Seems he has a real issue with getting bad customer service. Even his criminal justice attorney only got one star

My sister worked an ice cream shop as a teenager, she told a guy there was an extra charge for credit cards, asked if that was okay, the guy said yes, then screamed at her when he got the receipt and there was a credit card charge on it. Anyone who thinks this is the kids fault can suck my fat dick

We had to bring a knife picking her up because he was hanging around in the parking lot yelling threats at her through the window saying he’ll wait all night for her if he has to. His wife and kids were with him

I used to think this and still mostly do, but I also shudder to think about some of the richest fucks in the world doing their retail time and how that would impact the people around them

Why are so many Bluesky posts like this? You complain about something, then follow-up with a “people are arguing with me”, when the comments are nothing but supportive…do y’all crave the conflict of Twitter that badly?
