Taking down a Flock camera means nothing if they replace it with another camera doing the same thing. These Corrupt Bigshots can change the company name all it wants, but Texans still shouldn't have their movements tracked and stored everywhere they drive.

There are literally dozens of companies on the sidelines waiting to undercut the cost of flock cameras to get a contract. There's no taking this down unless the billionaires are taken down unless the companies are taken down.

Once the core technology for the surveillance is taken down as in the data centers. The whole operation goes down the toilet but until data centers are done away with the mass surveillance is not going to be done away with.

This is why it is important to be politically engaged at every level of gov - from dog catcher all the way up to president and everything in between. The whole flock camera fiasco came about because a large number of Americans believe it is someone else's responsibility to keep the bastards honest.

I don't see the issue with continuing to resist any and all cameras. Fascists will continue to put them up, but we will continue to take them down. We don't fight fascism when they continue to be fascists.

Well, if they were stupid enough to re-elect the felon, why would he not now go for bust? We are inundated with Drumpf changes. Elections are important most important. He wants us distracted, depleted and defeated. Stay the course. Flock cameras won’t change until we change the WH clown Drumpf.

Exactly. Them recording us is only as dangerous as people's ability to access the recordings. Keep that shit locked down and gated by warrant so law enforcement has to prove to a judge they need footage for a time/place, and privacy is maintained regardless of the cameras being up.

Any major city with a democratic mayor and this technology, well, it’s Democrats fault it’s still in existence in their city

In all honesty we should probably be more afraid of SignalTrace. This is surveillance technology that scans the airwaves to capture Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and RFID signatures from passing phones, smartwatches, and car audio systems to link them to license plates. It’s inside the Flock machines.

AXON is arguably even more of a threat. And Trump has millions invested in it. bsky.app/profile/blue...

Rick Smith, CEO and founder of Axon, has arguably built the most dangerous Al mass surveillance company in America. An expansive network that starts with their ALPR and body cameras and partners with a dizzying array of other companies to power this network.

Thank you for naming AXON as the culprit…it’s infuriating when headlines fail to name a subject that affects millions Corrected Headline: Flock Cameras Are Coming Down Around The Country Only To Be Replaced By The Same Technology With A Different Name: AXON

If you want to know where all theses cameras are then try #itagtip. Our "ALPR camera" theme will not only show you on map; it will notify you when you are close to one, withiut you having to have the app open. #DEFLOCK #streettech #itagtip #governmentoverreach

It's branding it "Flock" for their MAGA propaganda where they can be the heroes for abolishing "Flock". But they'll never quit surveillance that violates the 4th amendment. That's what they want and that doesn't change. Politicians pretending they're against "Flock" is just gaslighting for votes

just pass a new law forbidding then bc is violation of the 4th Amerndment. or try your free speech money - if that doesn't work, use your free speech gun.

Without these cameras who really needs these huge data centers? ➡️ This is a police state surveillance system to enable constant tracking of everyone, including citizens.

The president to vote for in 2028 is the one who says digital surveillance will be banned, AI will be paused as regulations are built to keep us safe, every fired federal employee will return to work and we will track down every deported immigrant and bring them home! Corrupt politicians: jailed!

Republicans lie as easily as breathing. What people say is irrelevant. It’s what they DO that counts. Show me a governor who gets his legislature to ban them from existing in an entire state, and make it a major felony, that’s my candidate.

I read somewhere that our car keys have a transponder incorporated in them. Basically it is for starting and entering you automobile but it can also be detected by satellite to your location and if your vehicle is equipped with GPS they can find your sneaky little ass anywhere, anytime, any way.😁

And it's the return of the corporate Name Game! It will not work in this case, neither will taking the damn things down, as the road to victory runs thru the politicians, and the courts. Sucks, don't it? But the goal remains to win, and to crush the Fascists while doing it.

Just notice...most cameras are on a pole or strapped to a pole. The strapped ones fall with electricians pliers in 10 seconds. Not that I have or may in the future. Results may vary. (Got to fix a blown head gasket first.)

They are turning ALL these products into devious deception. Im sure all this sht was for real-life causes. Let an EVIL person get word of it and entice the owners with money, opportunities, tax breaks, etc. Turn it into something that flexes power! FLEXES CONTROL! 341M-357M US citizens! To watch!

Flock cameras have been chopped down in the middle of the night in my area. I hear because they have more copper and gold wiring than a catalytic converter.

You need to understand something very simple: In public, you don't have a lot of privacy rights. if a police officer could legally stand on the side of the street and write down each passing license place, then the camera is effectively legal. These are public spaces, not private homes.

Taking down a Flock camera means nothing if they replace it with another Bilionaire doing the same thing. Flock em Install Cameras in Your Car to surveile corrupt law enforcement, Trump Millitias posing as Federal agents. The Good old Boy Sheriffs!

Honestly fighting against their presence altogether is very likely a losing battle. It's a genie that's out of the bottle. Our energy would be much better spent demanding strict policies around accessing the information, such as requiring warrants for time/place footage needed for investigations.

While we’re wringing our hands over Flock cameras outside, I’ve just read a news story about how my LG television has been recording audio (for years) inside my household, even when turned off. 🤬

I only heard about these recently And I don't get why they are a problem over & above the older speed & traffic control cameras which did much the same thing only slower & with more manpower What is different about these that is the problem?

That's pretty much the conclusion I'd come too Other than saving time & manpower they seem to do the same job as the older systems The problem *is* those in charge & that's the same under either system So instead of pandering to symptoms why not put the effort into curing the big orange disease?

It's like a TV show or film they put out to get you used to the subject matter, cancel it, then do another version of it that becomes a hit. It's the wear down technique. People do it to each other all the time.

Do they have you North Mexicans believing that those cannot be dealt with? Get off of your dead asses and take your state back from the scumbags that keep telling you to vote for them if you want change.😂 They've pretty much run it into the ground with their ideas and policies.

At my age and with my boring lifestyle these flocking cameras are a non-issue, but that doesn't mean I condone spying on my fellow Americans BC I don't. A person should have the dignity that comes from privacy! Remove the flocking cameras now!

At your age and with your boring lifestyle these flock cameras are an issue the moment some cop who hasn't had his morning coffee makes a typo on a license plate search and you're on the hook for legal representation while you're still flagged in the system as someone possibly involved in crime.

Or worse: if you're related to someone who has just left an abusive relationship with a cop, they can simply flag you in an attempt at harrassment. This is not a privacy issue; this is an abuse of state power by a group of people who are notorious for their arrogance, agression and stupidity issue.

The USA is a police state. 242 police per 100,000 in the USA 184 police per 100,000 in Canada (🇨🇦) Police killings (of civillians) in the USA is about 1,000/year Police killings (of civillians) in 🇨🇦 is about 30/year, with a peak of 69/year in 2022 Reason #007 why 🇨🇦 will never become the 51st state.

Today on my outing I counted apx 50 Flock cameras before I stopped counting. Why do they need to establish my "pattern of life"? Why do they need to surveillance my every move? They need to flock-off, all of them. Vote for Clayton Tucker for TX ag commissioner.

if the legislation is so stupid as to restrict surveillance technologies by brand name, the authors are either exceptionally stupid or complicit.
