Jerry Douglas 😊 more than just a member of a band, a standout star in his own right and great human. She did tons of covers from every genre. Dolly loved music and she loved celebrating, playing and learning it with others. It was part of her magic ✨

Never liked country music but I saw here in Europe at a festival and it was crazy good. The aura, the energy, it was amazing. Googled her afterwards to see what songs she’s written and it blow my mind. Fantastic person

Thank you. I gotta get some tissues. Watching Dolly walking down a road at that leisurely pace; the walk of a sheep in a green lush pasture; looking up to a massive bridge. So much is said that is silent , too, if you’re looking .

I was honestly surprised too! I never expected Dolly Parton to give “Shine” such a completely different feel, and winning a Grammy for it makes it even more impressive. It just goes to show that when a great song meets great musicians, the result can be something truly unexpected.

Already great song that she makes her own. Great performance all around. She draws the best talent to her, another indicator of her genius and spirit. Not for nothing, Jerry Douglas is maybe the best accompanist for singers ever.

I can tell most people commenting are probably American because over here in ol' Blighty nobody knows who Collective Soul are. My gf introduced me to them as I also didn't know them, it's criminal they're unknowns here, alongside Big Wreck and Our Lady Peace. I love Dolly for covering this. X

Never heard that. I have to admit I followed Dolly because of the person she was. Wasn't really into the music so much. But *this* was amazing! Next best was harmonizing with Emmy Lou and Linda Ronstadt. #Dolly

The dobro player????? It is offensive to "the dobro player" and music fans everywhere that you are not aware that the name of the greatest Dobro player on the planet is Jerry Douglass

Dolly was like Johnny Cash in that they both covered a lot of music they liked, regardless of genre and they played with musicians they loved and respected. They were musicians who simply loved music and let that come through

When she got inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, she said she felt kinda "phony" about it so she decided to record a Rock album. Only Dolly! 😁💗💖💝✌️💙🎶

Just saw Allison Krauss and Union Station at Marymoor Park in Redmond Washington. Always blown away by excellent live music. Love her fiddling and that dobro player was amazing. Also love this venue.

Oh this gave me chills! I love this song by Collective Soul and now I love it by Dolly… Fuck, I miss her. At least her and Tim will live forever with their films and music.
