Bravo. It is an art form to create a villain that's utterly detestable without being over the top malevolent. I love him in the sense that I cannot wait to see more of him... ... getting his commuppance.

"Behave" Ooh i wonder if he's communicating in code, telling them to play along! "Stuck" And that he's trapped in some way! "Peril" And that they're in danger! "Fate" And he knows something important! "Lime" lol wait "Pry" lol oh no

Anyway, file not found indeed. The sermon is one of those scenes with a side character that sticks in my mind, Sen. He's this doofy caricature but we catch this little glimpse of a time he used to be someone else. A path not taken, perhaps.

I came back to stare at this page again. I really hate this man. I can't decide if it's worse that he's like 21 but gets to decide the value of everything or if it turns out he's secretly 47 and just had a lot of surgery and creeps on younger women.

i... i think i hate him. like actually. he never lets Kim talk. which like, okay, maybe he's super excited and has been planning this introduction for a while. or maybe he's a tremendous asshole. given he thinks he's qualified to determine the value of everything, and only values robots... yeah

Lot of things falling into place here. Very concerned by worth, defines a fair bit of his own worth by possessing a high-value girlfriend/fiance. Initially planned on solidifying that by winning (by rigging) the poll that paired him with Asmodea (emphatically Asmodea the role, not Elith the person).

I believe Stolas isn't in the Dark Scientists, and that he's "just" a member of the Nephilopolis Rulers faction we haven't seen very much of. I can't say for certain, though!

I’m curious as to why he’s misusing all these terms. Is it an “english isn’t his first language” thing or is this like…a “he’s using terms he doesn’t understand “. either way he needs to get his hands off

I wondered if it was done on purpose to see if anyone would challenge him or to deliberately unsettle people. It did actually unsettle me as I read it and I only noticed on the third one I think.

I assume the latter. So full of himself he thinks he knows how to use them, and so popular nobody has ever corrected him or he didn't feel any need to listen if they did.

I thought it was maybe a hidden warning message, since the misused words are: "Behave Stuck Peril Pry Scared Chaste Wrath" So something that begins like: "Play along I'm stuck doing this because I'm in danger" but not sure what the later four words might hint at.

The way he keeps mangling the expressions while bulldozing onward is extremely effective (it slowly built up pressure as I was reading until I was ready to scream at him to shut up by the end of it, well done!). Ling is phenomenal on every single panel of this page!

I dislike him immediately because he resembles a guy I used to be best friends with, who started dying his hair sherbert ice cream colors in high school and acting like a horrible asshole. I know this is a very oddly specific anecdote but I hope he gets an extra-hard knee to the nuts
