Living next door to a Mexican grocery store has some of my favorite perks. Today’s is fresh homemade 14 inch tortillas for burritos tonight.

In San Antonio, TX you can stop by the local molino where women are literally making fresh flour and corn tortillas by hand daily. So much easier to stop by and pick up a couple dozen after working hard all day.

The place is the greatest. Has every ingredient you’d ever need for any Mexican food, homemade tortillas of all kinds, and a Mexican butcher shop.

I got one of those burrito looking blanket wraps as a gift a couple years ago. My cats love it. Me too. It came looking like this but larger size. :)

Living in a Mexican neighborhood has its perks. Being able to walk to awesome tacos, having a corner store that stocks cilantro and avocados for cheaper than the grocery store and generally better quality, etc.

You're so lucky! I grow my own guajillo and ancho peppers, but I have to drive all around town to find a store with Pasilla peppers for mole sauce. The western side of the mountains in the Pacific Northwest is kind of spotty on stores well-stocked with essential peppers.

I am opposed to any politician who sits by idly & does NOT protect their constituents from LEAF BLOWERS & NOISE POLLUTION. I know they would like us to buy into their partisan bullshit story about how we are divided, about morals, values, issues. I DO NOT buy any of it! I choose my fucking issues...

Agreed! When we lived in Sacramento, we were around the corner from a great Mexican grocery. They made their own masa and corn tortillas in the back. In fact many of the Mexican restaurants in town bought their tortillas from them. Plus, Christmas was a treat because they sold home-made tamales.

My neighborhood has a guy that sells Mexican breads out of the back of his car, my favorite was when the kids used to come by with their elote cart. I love our handmade foods culture here! Straight to the end of your street! Lol
