Me too. At least for now, DDG lets you opt out of all the AI features.

I was on DDG until yesterday, on SearXNG now. But my least for me DDG seemingly always brought up AI generated slop articles instead of useful results. It would be 8 links of AI generated "list" or "top 10" pages. Absolutely maddening.

I expect it's not worth it. The query you send is not simply what you typed it. It's got location information, user info, etc. for adding context, serving ads. To be sure, some of that is handled in parallel, but if you do two queries in a row, it's unlikely you'll even hit the same server.

Failures on so many levels on their core product. It's baffling
