It looks more and more apparent that Musk gave TACO $300 million so he could be given access to trample over government data and remove evidence of his companies wrong doings in the government's investigations. But how stupid could he be supporting Trump with Trump's anti-renewable energy position.

That too, buuuut I wouldn't be surprised if the EV market in the US is also struggling. Buying an EV requires some faith that the infrastructure is/will be in place. Musk cut the EV market's throat by introducing massive enshittification, instability and uncertainty into our system.

Kill a rebate and sales will struggle. At least until the equivalent car is cheaper, which is now. But instead the US carmakers are doubling down on their own irrelevance. I'm fine to see them leave Canada in favour of EV / battery production, or military equipment even if it is mostly auromated

You can separate the vehicles from the man. Self driving is helping the elderly and disabled when they were unable to travel on their own in the past. Don’t let hate for one man detract from the value of the product that helps people.

Nice sentiment, but it is not 2012. Musk is not separate from Tesla, he is welded to it. And Tesla’s own site says Full Self Driving is supervised and not autonomous, so the ‘elderly and disabled can now travel on their own’ line is marketing fog, not the present reality.

Yes it is supervised in that it is still the driver’s responsibility, but it can basically do it all. At a cost of course. I’ve ridden in a car where they told it where they wanted it to go and completed the whole trip through neighborhoods, country roads, interstate, & city then self parked.

Misleading: global EV sales are still growing. China, Europe, SE Asia, Latin America, and other markets are strong and growing. The USA is not the only market, and it's being left behind.

We just bought a Prius Prime, and I love it. Looks a little Tesla, and the tech is almost overwhelming! Elon was weird to ruin Telsa. He had to know it would happen...even the cucktruck is not cool now. Why did he do it? Make Tesla to begin with if he is not environment aware? And then kill it?

Yesterday an idiot going too fast and driving an electric car crashed into the side of one of our toll booths. The thing caught fire and couldn’t be extinguished. They had to use a fire blanket and the damn thing was still smoking when they hauled it away. I’ll keep my jeep thank you.
