@deadlinewh.bsky.social Prosecutor Jack Smith needs to be our next Attorney General of the United States when the Democratic Party wins the Presidency…he can rebuild our DOJ back into the respected institution it once was…🇺🇸

In full concurrence, my only hesitation is due to the fact that we may need at least 20 more like him! It will not be a one-person job to fully and properly command this operation.

I second the motion! Jack Smith, an attorney beyond reproach, would scare the living shit out of Trump, his family, every cabinet member and the Heritage Foundation. It would be glorious.

Me as someone living outside the US, visiting places the US bombed, calling refugees from US wars friends… “Once respected” Imma stop you right there you blinkered nationalist dummy The USA has been the world’s bully; a predator nation on an anti democracy campaign for the last 80 years

I believe Jack has the credentials. I also believe he has respect for the law. My question is does he have the desire to go after all of them? To put in the amount of energy required to go after congressional members past and present. To go after ICE. To go after SCOTUS. This is no small task.

Agreed-- and with Katie Phang on board, if she'd take the post... besides all existing Trump Crimes, go after those ill-gotten season two gains... confiscate and seize. ✊

And reverse all of the illegal enactments made by the orange felon and his acolytes. This goes for his Supreme Court stooges and the Constitution, both of which are in need of a serious revamp to protect them from a future version of Trump.

Jack Smith did a comprehensive and expansive job of prosecuting Trump, without question. The degree to which he was let down by his own management and institutions is astonishing. There are some issues here, not related to Trump, that bear consideration.

I think it's fair to say a large % of Americans will be disappointed if, after all this, the Democrats let even a single member of this pilfering pedo-loving Reich walk free. Disappointed with extreme prejudice, I hope... 💙

We tried that once. We better have an AG that follows the presidents directive to prosecute all of the criminals from this administration. It will be a while before they can be Mr. Nice Guy again. If they don't, kiss it all goodbye.

I was thinking the same thing. We need a mastermind at organizing hundreds of simultaneous investigations. And ideally someone already has insight into Trump‘s criminality.

If he’s not promising hellfire and judicial guillotines for EVERYONE who works for Trump, he can get lost. He’s too Garland-y for my tastes. I need to see punishment and punitive financial judgment. Justice is supposed to be blind, not stupid.

We have a wealth of really smart and talented people who could be candidates. If Jack doesn't want it, might I put forth Neal Katyal, perhaps a constitutional lawyer like Jaime Raskin, and so many more.

As much as I admire Jack I don’t want another good guy like Garland. I would much rather have a bulldog that rounds them all up first. Playing by the book got us here. That time has past. DJT has fundamentally changed things for good. Again we can’t bring a knife to a gunfight and expect to survive.

Just listened to Smith’s interview with Nicole Wallace and wow.. THAT is a stand-up guy. Such a stark contrast with the grifters, liars and traitors running the show now.

lots of firing and a biiiiig workload of prosections lie ahead. Most importantly: Give the folks their due process while they are jailed. I hope, there's room in the ICE facilities they like so much.

Was he on the right side? Sure. Did he accomplish anything in the long time he was given? I don't think he had the situational awareness and knack for foresight necessary to be effective.

We need 4 fully staffed Departments of Justice if we want to have any chance at getting back to pre-trump politics. 1 just for trump’s corruption. 2 just for cabinet/congress related crime. 3 just for family and friends’ crime. 4 international corruption, pardons, money laundering.

He's right that Trump must be prosecuted. And by all accounts he's an effective prosecutor. I applaud his patriotism and the risk he is taking. But I'd need to know a lot more about him. I'd prefer Jamie Raskin.

For 4 years? Because if a Republican gets elected after that, he's out of a job and we're right back here. Some want to help us, while others want to throw us in a wood chipper to fertilize flowers for a billionaire, and some voters think we need a compromise.

the seeds of disdain are sown the nation is fertile with angst it is upon the commoner to rise no nation can withstand tyranny #30million8/30 30 million on August 30th. Imagine a march of 30,000,000 on August 30th. Now stop imagining and begin making it real. Sharing is caring, please repost.

Hint: Fire ANYONE connected with Russell Vought. He's the one who is infiltrating the US Government. If a Fed was fired, hire them back. The were a professional. Anyone hired by Trump in his 1st or 2nd term? Shitcan them. All agencies. The DOJ isn't the only agency ruined.

Democrats (most likely): “Smith would be too controversial. We don’t want confrontation, we want to move on so the country can heal. We will offer Todd Blanche an opportunity to remain as AG. It will be the bipartisan thing to do.”

Personally, I would prefer if he leads an indie commission whose main job it will be to prosecute any and all criminals and enablers of this fascist regime and they will be given a massive budget to hire and investigate everyone from actual corrupt actions to stock/crypto/gambling trades, no bid…

…contracts granted, regulations/investigations shelved after campaign contributions were made or capitulation/appeasement was done. I would like that commission to be given a massive authority to follow the money and see where it leads and if foreign countries/persons are involved, sanctions follow.

We also need to empower that commission with authority to claw back any monetary gains from corrupt acts and suggest bills to be passed to strengthen our govt so this shit never happens again. We also need to break up all the big companies, get rid of all tax loopholes and give a big…

…boost for small businesses to thrive. We don’t ever need any single person or corporation to become too powerful ever again. And then once his job is finished, he could be nominated to be a Supreme Court justice, with term limits, coz hopefully by then, we will have learned our lesson.

While I think he's well-qualified and would be excellent in the role, it's almost as appealing that the MAGAt horde would lose their minds over it. The rending of garments and wailing would be exquisite. 😎
