I don't understand Kingdom Hearts but I love it when there's news about it because my friends who do know about Kingdom Hearts sound completely insane

I've been playing through the entire collection over the last year and a half for a friend who bought them for me to watch and just got to Kingdom Hearts 3. I'm absolutely hooked, but also routinely frustrated, confused, and in hysterical stiches at how absurd, yet endearing the plot is.

The best part is I don't even have to try to sound insane. It's all just how the lore comes off. Who knows what will happen when the time travelers from the Age of Fairy Tales encounter King Mickey Mouse on his journey to find Sora in a world of fiction that bridges the Disney afterlife.

I've played the first one and part of the second... I recently bought the PC collection with some leftover credit off Steam, somehow there 7 total games #Gulp

Everything I know about Kingdom Hearts I learned from an autistic adult who came in to the children's section of my library to ask if we had the manga. She was able to clarify things about the series that had been confusing me as a library worker and it was very helpful.

Kids will come in and ask for "the next book in the series" or something, and that can get confusing AF with a series like the Pokémon manga or Warriors, and they often can't tell us what they're looking for. Autistic adults know their franchises and can usually communicate about them better.

One day at Square Enix: Game Designer: “Hey, what if we make a Disney game and chuck in some Final Fantasy characters?” Game Exec: “That is weird, but okay, let’s try it” Game Writer hiding in the shadows: “Finally, my chance to out-complex Evangelion…”

look pal i love kingdom hearts, im completely insane about kingdom hearts, but im not gonna sit here on the internet and lie to you about how i understand kingdom hearts
