Americans should kniw about presedent. You attack one tiny little piece of human rights legislation, you attack all of it. You only need one tiny shimmy and you Set presedent to Chip away at anything you want.

They use it to make participation harder, have women/girls/LGBTQ face harassment for their looks, lessen participation & then end female sports as too LGBTQ positive. Don’t support or attend female sports, except to complain. Aren’t protecting women, are discriminating.

You cannot get these people to admit that funding Harry Potter is transphobic! Not "should you fund..."; not "ought" or any of that! That it is transphobic at base. An incontrovertible fact! To them, making the leap that "handing transphobe who is doing transphobia money = transphobia" is too far.

The ballot initiative here in Washington would require all who want to play in woman’s sports to prove they are eligible by genitalia, chromosome, or testosterone level. Every single student would face an invasions of their privacy to for a nonexistent issue. Except those who play men’s sports.

this is helpful and true. it's also really gross that sports is both expensive and competitive and there aren't more casual club sports where people can connect and have fun. being a part of a team should be open to everyone and should be about working together and having fun.

I am extremely skeptical that the way to win these people's votes is to tell them their assumptions are ignorant and their concerns are invalid. The trick is telling them what they think they want to hear and then doing the right thing after they elect you.

You are ignoring this is an 80/20 issue where many people-- women, liberals, parents, athletes, Democrats-- do not want gender id overriding sex when sex is the relevant divisor. In sports male sex, regardless of self image, confers advantages.

Disagree with you there. They’ve turned it into the Most Important Issue Facing America because it does exactly what it’s doing: it divides the Democratic coalition, and unites the right.

Someone's trans identity directly flies in the face of the American Christian's belief in god and their religion as a whole and because of that they can never accept it as being anything other than fraudulent.

Also, so many of these people obsessed with school sports will use any little bit they're given to start terrorizing any girl or boy who doesn't conform to how they think a boy or girl should look. They'll be wanting legal permission to peek in underpants.It's just the first step on a horrible road.
