Why would a teacher use the v isual output of a theft machine to illustrate their concerns. You are colluding in making every single thing worse. And you are obviously teaching your students that it is fine to cheat and steal if it saves you a bit of time or effort.

Thank you for finding the words and the time to write this. So much of it was exactly my experience too, as one of those older teachers (trained in 2000 after 15 years in social work). It's madness.

I have a life here. I've looked abroad previously, I know a ton of teachers who have moved abroad to international schools. I do always wonder if people know what effect their small interactions have on people.

On the workload front, Im actively trying to help. Im populating my website with my drawings, and if people bought into my teaching game, they'd not need to make a worksheet or slide deck again. They just need to understand the rules and moves (explained in my books). I'll soon be making videos, too

I actually agree with this point. Thats why I said the majority of the work I planned for was a waste of time. Even things I made a year ago, waste. There are good resources out there, signposting them does help 😉

It really is. Every year I see more and more people leave. They claim they're happier, have more money, less stressed and have more time. It's hard to carry on when everyone around you leaves.
