Like Tesla fabrication giving him a trillion dollar salary. A PR stunt. He has to sell cars. They left that part out. Accelerating retail decline. Check your investments. Why should we make a guy who has never been in a rocket any richer by continuing to fund his idea of "humans living on Mars".

You know what they say about a fool and his money. The stock market is now roughly 39% AI companies. The recent rules changes to allow the SpaceX IPO to do all this shows that wall street 100% believes the bottom will fall out, its just when & who's left holding the bag.

Semafor boosted unworkable space data center plans based on the claims of a single CEO, the NYT forgot to mention Elon Musk is a racist white supremacist who bought an authoritarian government (whoops!), and Reuters informed us that the biggest issue with Musk is his "no filter style" great stuff!

The SpaceX IPO is a colossal work of fiction, promising a utopian future that will never arrive and tech that will never exist, delivered by a man incapable of delivering it. The proposal fabricates paths to profitability, and lies endlessly about foundational reality. Propped up by our shitty press

In over three years of test flights Starship hasn't once attained a stable orbit, flown without multiple engines failing or landed. They had to reduce its payload size just to get the thing off the ground. And it's supposedly going to put people on the moon in less than two years?

I'm sick of reporters acting like naive high school freshmen about all these dangerous people. I cussed at npr this morning at a stoplight for their "Trump sees himself as a president and a builder!" narrative.

WeWork was a money-losing proposition headed by a snake charmer, and I think trying to go public destroyed the firm bc investors looked at the docs and realized it couldn't work. SpaceX has similarities up to the IPO but everyone ignored the warning signs.

I read this and realized "Companies used to try and sell actual things, but now, they sell STORIES". Even just 10 years ago, you were expected to at least generate a mock-up or prototype. Now? "oh yeah, we're 'working on that' tech"... like it's a cake in the oven, ready to serve in 30 minutes.

TYVM for sharing your candid and unbiased concerns for the intelligence of a great supporter of our grifter in chief. Funny how wealth mitigates against development of a social conscience. Kudos on your clear understanding the problem. It is a gift to be able to present the truly disgusting 🤢🤮

The USSR put Yuri Gagarin in orbit in 1961 using slide rules, vacuum tubes, and a metal ball with windows. Meanwhile, SpaceX has Grok, supercomputers, neural nets, and a decade of hype and still can’t get a single human off the planet on their own rocket.

Musk maybe a genius & way ahead of his time, but Musk’s white supremacist attitudes, & actions, are what should be scrutinized, more. He led DOGE, that destroyed US AID, which fed millions & is now estimated to cause thousands of deaths. He’s openly bought the U.S. Prez & lived off gov’t contracts.

Arguable…His companies have done things that are far beyond what others can do. How much credit he gets scales from… “he bought it all” to “he is the greatest thinker/visionary of our time”. Either misses my point. His political actions are awful. His Nazi salute was abhorrent. He should be taxed!

he opportunistically gloms on to actual innovators and takes singular credit for their work. And he finds it easy to manipulate our shitty press. While both require some degree of savvy, I think we can skip the "genius" tag based on all available evidence.

Any attempt to discuss wealth taxes, or corporate taxes, to share these benefits to US taxpayers is immediately thought of as stopping his progress, or preventing his vision. These are patently false. It is sharing, to a wider U.S. public, the gains, not just to his investors or directors.

Except S&P the major indexes are going to help these guys loot 401ks and pension funds. I think that's why the business press is so corrupt. They see all that money and are angry companies actually need to be profitable to get it

"Morningstar analysts have warned investors about trading SpaceX shares since before its IPO, arguing the company is “significantly overvalued” and that its market value is tied to technologies it claims are “novel and untested.”
