It suits Trump. Don’t ask permission or forgiveness. Just keep tearing down and building monuments to himself until they’re finished, regardless of its illegality. What’s Robert’s excuse? This is outrageous.

i think this puts the shadow docket at 90% Pro-Trump rulings since he took office this time. And that later date is straight up bullshit . He's already ruled, just has to find some kind of work around from that pesky constitution. Lower courts spelled it out for him.

Trying not to over-react, but this strikes me yet again as Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely, The pangs of dispriz'd love, the law's delay, The insolence of office, and the spurns That patient merit of th'unworthy takes. h/t @shakespeare.lol

Let the destruction/bulldozing/steamrolling continue at light speed, rather than pause for proper consideration. It is a pattern of this court and it is completely contrary to the notion of judicial restraint.

THIS WAS NOT SCOTUS OR JOHN ROBERTS CALL! This is Congress call and RepubliCons REFUSE TO DO THEIR DUTY. DERELICTION OF DUTY BY GOP! ROBERTS RULES UNCONSTITUTIONALLY. IMPEACH JOHN ROBERTS!

The law is quite specific & reflects what you say. A stay is issued when the side who files against the action has a reasonable chance of prevailing So the stay should have continued. There is no justification for Robert's decision This was political not legal

Same bullshit loophole where Roberts provides no context for his decision and lets Trump do whatever he wants and then later dismisses the case as irrelevant since Trump already did whatever illegal thing the courts were trying to prevent.

The good news is Trump can go ahead and build his ballroom and once it’s built it will be too late for any court to rule on the merits. I sure hope no future radical leftist president decides to name it the Barack Hussein Obama White House Ballroom.

You have to wonder when a lower court judge just grants summary judgment... just to say... here, go ahead and try to write an actual opinion overturning me.

An administrative stay is expected. It's not a decision of the Court. It won't last for more than a few days or possibly weeks. Last year Justice Jackson ordered an administrative stay on an order by the appeals court concerning SNAP payments a case she would have voted to deny cert on.
