Musk’s companies would have failed without the government. SpaceX signed an initial, company-saving $1.6 billion contract with NASA in 2008. Tesla received a critical $465 million loan from DOE in 2010. But who needs government?

Elon & his merry band of DIGITAL BROWNSHIRTS. We are witnessing an electronic coup. Fight back! Confront the incels. Picket their lodgings. Write "Douche" on every Tesla you see. Egg Elon. Harass Fox News employees. Shout down GOP members. Protest and, most of all, shame those who have no shame.

He may be talking about people like me who have worked 40 some years for the Government and used Government's 401k Plan, the TSP, as authorized by law to save up to 15% of our annual income a year in the account. I thought work and savings were the way to build wealth, unlike Elon who inherited.

Elon Musk, former illegal immigrant from South Africa has received the most benefits from USA subsidies than any Americans! Elon Musk becomes the richest person from getting USA taxpayers 💰! Elon Musk = The biggest welfare recipient in the US history! 🤬

Let Elon decide whether rocket launch technology is more important than cancer research or school lunches! What could go wrong 🙄 Conflicts of interest law (18 U.S.C. § 208) prohibits govt employees from taking official action that could impact their financial interests (under 5 C.F.R. § 2635.402).

i was wrong… more like $50 a day. "According to available data, the average Social Security check for a single female is around $1,643 at full retirement age (age 67), " then we get to listen to that idiot complain that SSers usually "waste" their money gambling or buying drugs.

What is the wealthy ‘line’ for the richest guy on the planet, anyway? No civil servant is making anything close to that. But congress…if they weren’t millionaires going in, they certainly are when they leave.

Musk is so full of 💩. “Neither Musk nor President Trump offered any evidence of corruption or improper enrichment that might explain federal employees allegedly getting rich off their government roles, and DOGE did not respond to Fortune’s request for examples.”

That’s a good article. Few journalists are able to distinguish between projections and appropriations, for instance, even when it’s written all over the document. It’s super frustrating, as someone who is also involved in reading and researching them.

Also like . . . yes, taxpayer money pays federal workers. Elon, that’s what a federal worker means. I would like my tax dollars to pay for federal workers to work that’s not fucking nefarious.

I have yet to meet a federal employee who is “getting wealthy at taxpayer expense.” Earning a dignified salary that’s commensurate with the valuable work they perform? Yes. Wealthy? Not unless they were already rich before entering public service.

Even if this idiot hadn't shown us time and time again who he is and what he's up to, would 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 disagree that this is a rather enormous conflict of interest in the best of circumstances? The line between that and corruption is rarely considered for even a second by those crossing it.

Same song second verse.. Could get better but gonna get worse……… Unless Americans take off the blinders and start paying attention!! Perhaps: Check out some history books and brush up on some countries didn’t pay attention! Germany, Russia, the Philippines— just to name a few!!

Not to nitpick, but I'd argue a better way to write it is with the truth first: "The federal government has paid Elon Musk's companies more than $20 billion, yet he falsely claims federal workers are getting rich at taxpayer expense."

Federal workers generally traditionally got paid less for equivalent credentials in the private sector. Some one should remind the public of that fact.
