The party should now rescind their nomination of him as a candidate. If he decides to still run, he can do so as an Independent.

Maine voters prefer Platner over any other Dems candidate by a large margin. Any other Dem candidate will lose to Susan Collins.

Nirav Shah is a pretty good choice. I'd vote for him. He almost literally saved the State of Maine during Covid. Smart, savvy and well-versed in politics. And he's a decent human being.

If they choose someone like Mills or someone who supports policies that Maine voted against then this won't end well. Pick a person that supports his positions and I think we can get behind it. As a Platner supporter, idgaf about him but want someone with his positions that he campaigned on
