Dear, God, Your clean children don’t ask you for much, but could you please convince your child Elon to make this compressed air thingy standard in all future Tesla EVs, Cyberpenises and all of his shitty robots and robo-taxis? Amen.

that is my honest reaction lol. I was like "pfft there is not going to be any flying whatsoever, nothing is leaving the ground" and well I was wrong about that

I think it shows that they understand the "product" that they are selling to their actual "customers". i.e spectacle/hope/dreams/coolness to investors.

if the car is actually flipping itself in the air and landing on vertical rockets, that is pretty technically impressive. I struggle to imagine how that could be even remotely relevant for any ordinary driving use-case, and certainly should not be legal

If it was something they let their engineers do as play this would be very cool. As a thing actually pushed from the top? No, businessmen are supposed to be serious.

They said the “rocket” version of the car will be available to order “by invite only.” I doubt you’ll see one unless you’re friends with an Emirati sheik. At best, it’s going to be an amusement ride for test tracks and not actually drivable without an engineering crew on hand.

same thing with adding a rocket so you can get a 0-60 time under 1 second. one of those Lucid models can do under 2 seconds and the G forces are so extreme it makes a lot of people ill

this would be my guess as well. a car shaped remote control rocket...thing bsky.app/profile/jack...

shots from below already seem like the thing was mostly an empty shell. it’s “fun” I guess but that’s like an act you see at the monster truck rally

It's not that impressive tbh. This would be a homework problem for a mechanical engineering student. The only impressive part is that he had the money to blow in order to he able to do it irl.

yeah the aerial package is not street legal, apparently takes up much of the cabin, and probably won’t ever be actually for sale. and the speed thrusters might not really be, either bsky.app/profile/tysc...

a) they’re apparently compressed-air jets and b) lmao carbuzz.com/new-tesla-ro...

My reaction is why did they waste resources on this? And then I remember he’s just a conman who never delivers on anything that matters and then it makes sense.

Yeah, I can see people jumping over traffic in a US city. Who the hell needs this? Stocks raising on this shows investors are crazy.

I can't wait to forget to calibrate my thrusters and backflip my quarter million dollar car into my kid's elementary school front window at 200 mph
