This is such a bad look for Bernie on so many levels. He's failing for the AI Doom hook line & sinker. @timnitgebru.blacksky.app and others are out there explaining how the doom is all a rouse to cover up for their layers of BS & bias, and people are still falling for it 😟 bsky.app/profile/dair...
@timnitgebru.blacksky.app gives a history lesson on AI "existential risk" talk and explains how we don't have to accept Big Tech's utopia or apocalyptic visions for the future: www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/...
Another good read for seeing through the AI charlatans is The A.I. Con thecon.ai
NPR has a much different take on this. www.npr.org/2026/09/15/n...

NO. Please, please, do not be naive. For once can our media elites understand ratfuckery when they see it. Steve Bannon is not concerned with AI safety. He is concerned with undermining democracy and this is a wedge issue that can help him do that - and can help him engineer a red-brown alliance.
Please God let's not now say "well, Steve Bannon has a point". Remember! He's a fraud, liar, and fascist. He ran Cambridge Analytica and Trump's first campaign; cultivated white supremacists (including Stephen Miller); filled our media with conspiracies; tried to build a global fascist movement. 1/
@radiofreetom.bsky.social, your beloved Atlantic is not exactly covering itself with glory today.
