I've heard a lot about lessons we can learn from Brazil, but take a look at Serbia.

Note the key phrase "so many people." Yglesias thinks it's fine—good in fact—that American billionaires are very interested in foreign elections and routinely influence them to promote corruption and fascism. His concern is that filthy plebs like you and me might want better things for everyone.
Yes well it does require things like “empathy” and possessing a basic understanding that all of our lives are interconnected

Wow. Minority staff of the House Judiciary Committee has FAR fewer resources than the NYT, WSJ, CNN. Were they aware of these charges & decided not to report on them? If so, why? If this report holds up, there should be prime-time hearings. The victims are named & should be invited to testify.
NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

Over 2,000 alumni from Vivek’s all-boys catholic high school in Cincinnati have signed and circulated a petition demanding that he pull the ad and issue a public apology for “ignoring the moral responsibilities” of his Jesuit education. I think he’s pretty cooked.
chat I don’t think doubling down on this ad is working out real well for vivek

Notice that he's actually only upset that *commoners* care about foreign elections. He's not stupid enough to think that governments and world leaders don't care about them. He literally just wants you to remain beneath them.

Dont forget my loves, these ghouls must spend their every moment living in fear and activation in order to maintain sufficient momentum, the richest men in the world must spend all their time and money to maintain this stranglehold, and still power is constantly slipping from their grasp

The mobilization itself was already not something I ever expected to see, but to actually win? Hell, to double the winning margin from the 2022 runoff? Genuinely surreal. Maybe child raping billionaires *don't* have to run the world with a shit-eating grin. Maybe that can stop.

We have the same problem here in the US with the Dems. They get indignant and violent when you demand they run on more than "I'm not the bad guy".
no matter how valid it is that the cons are fucking terrible you can't expect people to turn out for that. you need a positive message that inspires ppl to actually vote for you. idk just very over the "vote for us or it'll be bad!" messaging these so called leftists have been doing my entire life
