The mayor during 1973 was John V. Lindsay. He served as mayor from 1966 to 1973. Lindsay was a member of the Republican Party, later becoming a Democrat. His administration focused on urban issues and civil rights. He faced challenges such as fiscal crises and rising crime rates.

I am was not a KNICKS fan, I live in Utah, Jazz fan, but Knicks gave us a championship story for the ages, to come back, and hold on and then win. One of the best playoff stories of all time. With Wemby cheap shoting Knicks players, the whole country became Knicks fans. GO KNICKS.

why on earth would any politician get credit for the hard work and efforts of an amazing basketball team with amazing players. If NY succeeds in future may indeed be Mamdami, but this WIN had nothing to do with it. The #NewYorkKnicks get credit for this, not the mayor.
