The USPS does a lot of 'last mile' service in rural areas where UPS and FedEx don't have offices. Messing with the USPS could potentially mess with UPS and FedEx.

WP should add that the Postal Service is an Article 1 Constitutional line item, and messing with it could have disastrous an effect on this nation's commerce.
