This is Minnie. She let out her first ever puppy bark today in an effort to bravely fend off her own reflection. 12/10 (TT: minnieandme11)

I had a kitten who suddenly and unexpectedly uttered a blood-curdling war-cry and ran full-tilt smack-bang into her reflection, rattling the sliding wardrobe door with the impact. She was fine, and of course we coddled her with comforting words and pats afterwards, but we could not stop laughing.

My understanding is that dogs (in general) *can* follow human pointing, whereas wolves cannot (although I think there’s a pack in Russia where humans-raising may have produced exceptions). It’s the human-dog domestication that’s evolved greater “human comprehension” in the dog (and likely, vvsa) 🤗

My little Mini was a Merle Pomeranian! She passed away at fifteen the 22nd which was my daughter's fiftieth birthday. I think she'd have been with me longer but a young buck deer tried to kill her sixteen months ago when I was watering flowers. It attacked her between my car and garage! Adorable!

We moved into a house with a basement, and we left a mirror down there. In the middle of the night, we hear this awful sound coming from the basement. One of our cats saw her reflecting in that mirror, and thought it was an invading cat.
