They do make suits for cats (kitten.academy refers to them as "secret agent suits" and uses them after spaying or to assist in weening, but I'm sure there's a formal name.) Some cats tend to find them really strange and not move much.

I worked in a place where people brought their dogs to work. I decided to "protest" by bringing various of my cats (one at a time) to work. I had an office and they stayed in my office. They became non-reactive to the idea of car travel because they went from my house to another hangout.

I can attest to the greatness of the thunder shirt., my sole dog, Sandi was afraid of almost everything. she loved her thunder shirt during thunderstorms and fireworks until she went deaf, then she didn't need it so much, unless the lightning was close enough to see threw the curtains.
