just a reminder that we aren’t even seeing the worst of what is happening in Minneapolis from someone detailed at the Whipple Federal Building yesterday

This has been going on for a yr. Why do you think they never show the women's detention centers? The kids have been sold to pedos, under the guise of "foster" families that are unnecessary.

That buses to the airport thing is interesting. Are there any actions happening out there that you know about? I remember airport protests in 2017 with the "Muslim Ban."

To keep #ICE from breaking your car window in order to open your door from the inside and drag you out of the car, buy 8 millimeter security film from Amazon and install it on all your car windows from THE INSIDE. Or have the window tint guy install it. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00F...

We need the people from the wealthier suburbs of Minneapolis to band together and march the streets of our less fortunate neighbors being terrorized by ICE. Unity and support for people being targeted bc of where they live.

In case you wonder how far we have fallen. Priests are preparing for martyrdom to protect the public from our own government. Abolish ICE and Impeach Officials (Congress) resist.bot/petitions/PS... Protect Protestors and Residents (Generic State Officials) resist.bot/petitions/PC...

This is beyond disgusting to read and has gone so out of control. I really do not know how to stop this madness. Amerikkka is so lost. How “Christians” support this is beyond my comprehension.

Just to correct one notion: All the other people in detention DO have a Constitutional right to due process. The Fifth Amendment states that "no PERSON … shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law"—not "no citizen." The rights of ALL those people are being violated.

One of the statements at the end of this horrible story is incorrect and everyone opposing the Nazis needs to be clear about it: The non-US persons detained DO have the same protections as citizens under US law. The Constitution has jurisdiction over the US and everyone within. Here = Rights

I’m hoping that among the less aggressive ICE agents are multiple undercover journalists who will share their experiences and observations in the media and in court at a later date.

"I distinctly remember seeing a desperate woman. She was staring at the ground with her head in her hands crying, hopeless, while her friend or family member sat on a bathroom seat observed by three men." I can't stop thinking about this. It's sexual abuse and a violation of privacy.

People being held in such poor conditions for unknown durations that they are past the brink of despair and US Citizens being asked to trade names of peaceful protest organizers for their own freedom are among the more ghastly details herein.

The text references people "who have no constitutional right to due process". It was my understanding that habeas has not been suspended, and due process is to be afforded to everyone on American soil; is there some class of person for whom that is not so?

Just as the process is different between civil and criminal courts a third set of rules applies to immigration courts. For example there isn't a right to representation in the immigration system. I don't know that citizenship is the difference as much as which court system you are in.

It would have been more accurate to say “who are treated as if they have no….” But, understandable error in a raw account from an ordinary citizen

To be clear, I'm talking about the *right* to due process; seeing that in practice is obviously different under the occupying regime.

It's not just this regime. They've turned the dial to eleven, but the immigration system has long been a sick joke in many ways. Habeas corpus is still, nominally, in effect. That was one of the rare SCOTUS rulings against Trump: can't just put people on a plane to CECOT w/o hearing.

Like, everyone gets some process. But, immigration process is still slapdash process. Fake judges (they work for the president, not judiciary), fake warrants, no right to a lawyer. But, despite denying all the normal criminal protections, feds can do indefinite detention until deportation.

None of these untrained individuals are graduates of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia, and being a local PIG doesn’t qualify you to carry a federal badge—it’s supposed to mean more.
