Neurodiversity, Leafs, but mostly random things that strike me as interesting and leave me wondering how I wound up with a pocket full of unusual rocks again.

I felt I really needed to write about Rowling's essay, not because it's new, but because it's so poisonous and ugly that it felt like sanitizing her not to acknowledge it on my trans news site.

Assigned Media@assignedmedia.org

There's no pretense left. J. K. Rowling made her hate for trans women clear in a slur-filled screed slurring them a dozen times and describing them as deceitful and dangerous. So writes @evanurquhart.bsky.social this morning on Assigned Media. *WARNING: Article quotes Rowling's hateful language.*

Wait. Wait. Wait. You're telling me the Toronto Maple Leafs had 48 hours of everyone blowing smoke up their behinds, and responded by no-showing their next game against a bad team? No. I refuse to believe it. That doesn't sound like them at all.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

Any deal struck with the US will come with Trump braying about how he humbled Canada, how Canada had been begging for a deal. That's not something Canada is willing to put up with anymore, so that has to be a stumbling block in the negotiations.

And weirdly it was the inspiration to an Agatha Christie Miss Marple novel. She contracted it from a fan who knew they were sick with it and knew Tierney was pregnant and broke quarantine to go meet her at an event, and I’m glad to say that in the book the movie star offed her.

Enjoyed seeing this woman's work. Sustainability isn't just about producer decisions, but also consumer decisions, namely their willingness to repair things when needed. This type of repair is easier on natural fibers, rather than stretch fabrics. Consider that when shoppping. IG loosethreadsrepair
