"I called Mauricio. Told him he's gotta use his running backs more. Having the green guy, punt it every few plays is stupid. Gotta establish the running game. Just like Vince. Vince Lombardi. There's a coach. Old timers used to call him LONGbardi. See him in the locker room and you'd know why."

My staff told me they were cheering my name in Mexico. Not many people know this but Mexican fans love me. Love the Trump. Every time they see me it's, "ehhhhhhhhhhh puto." That's Mexican for POTUS, that's their language's word for me - for the POTUS. The world respects us like never before.

I see where they wouldn't let this guy touch the ball. Teeny soccer player hand. Can't use it. Not like my big hands. People say, "Sir, you have the biggest hands, they're like really impressed." And yeah, you know big hands....well, I can't say that or I'll get canceled. But no hands, very unfair.

"I said, pitch that's a baseball term. Obviously I know what a pitch is. I'm the first person to notice that they're using that word wrong. Lotta people used it wrong. I'm the first president, maybe the first person, to tell FIFA that that's not what a pitch is. It's a field. A big green field."

"Keepers, did you know they call the goal tenders, keepers? Crazy, lot people didn't know that. I know sports and a keeper - that's a fish. That's a beautiful fish that you wanna kiss right on the mouth. But woke media says, "You can't kiss a fish. If it's a keeper, and you're a star you can."

Trump didn't know what a red card was. Didn't know it meant missing future games. Says you cannot have players missing future games for actions in prior games. Also insists he knows sports very well. What a complete and utter moron. Just an embrassament of a person.

Trump on Balogun: "That wasn't even an infraction...this referee, who is a little bit suspect if you check his past. He made a call nobody could believe...he's our best player, or one of our best players. And he gave him a red card. I didn't know what that meant...yes, I asked for a review by FIFA."

Donald Trump focusing on kitchen table issues like helipad zoning.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "I always got helipads. Other people don't. Very hard to get. The hardest thing to get is a helipad. There's no harder zoning thing to get. And I had like 7 of them."

The cowardice of the broadcasters in talking about the Iranian team is astonishing. “Off field events” preventing them from playing in their domestic league. The emotional strain “because of circumstances out of their control”

So happy for those long suffering finance bros who think Rucker Park is a Linkin Park cover band. Unlike admission to the college where your dad is a legacy and your position that your frat brother’s uncle got you - you deserve this.

I’d forgotten just how stressful it is to watch hockey. Soccer penalty shootouts are still the most intense but hockey regular game play is so stressful. No breaks no out of bounds and offense to defense in 2 seconds.

i’d be more comfortable with the olivia nuzzi coverage if every story was headlined something like “seduced by a guy who eats roadkill: the story of an extremely stupid lady”

Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

In December 2023, Special Counsel Jack Smith asked SCOTUS to grant cert before judgement to hear Trump’s immunity appeal. The court rejected that request and didn’t issue its immunity decision until July 2024. Trump’s federal cases never made it to trial before the November 2024 election.

Certiorari "before judgment" is how #SCOTUS takes up a full appeal *before* the intermediate federal courts have heard it. It used to be exceedingly rare. For instance, there wasn't a *single* grant of such expedited review b/w August 2004 & February 2019. This is the *23rd* such grant since then.

“I’m a hypocritical coward”….

Approximately 62 million people died in the entire world last year in total. I feel like if nearly 4% of the world’s population died in a single year, we’d notice, let alone most everyone in the United States.

It's long past time for people to fully accept that the right simply does not care about being called hypocrites. To them hypocrisy is a weapon to be used against their enemies who feel embarrassed if they are revealed to be inconsistent. They feel no such shame themselves.

This may explain why there’s an aggressive response to people who merely post Kirk’s own words. It threatens the existence of the alternate Kirk - the motivational speaker that had been marketed to young kids and white Christian groups through selective quotation & clips.

As a staffer on the last Wellstone campaign I remember attending his service and it being mocked and criticized by the right because it was too political. That was cruel and hateful. She can grieve in a way that feels ugly to outsiders as far as I’m concerned. She deserves a bit of grace.

Erika Kirk is using her husband's death to promote Kirk's vehicle of hate, Turning Points USA. Fascinating to watch this right now.

So people who were worried about a killer on the loose had to worry about little longer because Trump wanted to tell his TV friends in person.
