Today is the 30th Intersex Awareness Day. 30 years of asking for bodily respect and autonomy, asking drs not to perform irreversible, non-consensual and harmful genital surgeries; to leave us as we are. 1/?

So the least wonderful of all people named Michael Collins I dedicate this Intersex Awareness Day so that he might be better able to represent his intersex constituents in SW Cork and be part of a progressive Ireland rather than cling to its regressive magdalene past. 4/?

Last week politicians in the Republic of Ireland including TD Michael Collins (not the Irish hero Michael Collins, the other one - pictured here) argued not only do we not deserve to have our bodily integrity respected but that we don’t even exist. 3/?

The pressures of spooky week… 🎃 Don’t judge us TOO harshly, if it’s missing we might have watched it recently... What are your #Halloween must-watches? #horrorfan #scarymovies #horrormovies 👻🎃💀

People who are okay with genocide can of course never be trusted with the rights of trans, intersex, or anyone else for that matter apart from the Epstein class. Dems and GOP present a false dichotomy that serve the interests of white supremacy & capitalism always. It’s aPunch & Judy show.

I have been told by several mutuals that the US Democrats are pro-LGBTQ ppl. They’re not, as this & other current Dem candidates make clear*. Some 23% of 18-29y olds & 10.4% of 30-49y olds are LGBTQ ppl. Why would they bother voting for either party? Cis straight ppl might want to think about that.

Imagine feeling like your country's newsmedia could at any time turn its back and begin this level of hate campaign against you, to the point that they harass you and everyone you love to the literal ends of the earth, mining you for content until your death and even after. How would you live life?

flyingrodent@flyingrodent.bsky.social

Another one here where the British press just smashed fuck out of a member of the public’s life for no good reason, just because they wanted to and nobody will stop them doing at. And they’re still going, even now.

I started a new adventure this week that I’m very excited about. Not quitting research, activism or advocacy work. Also, just the loveliest, most curious passionate group. It’s been the most wonderful, rewarding week. 🙏🏻💖✨ #psychosexualtherapy #sexuality

A girl won the role of Seymour in South Grand Prairie High School in Texas. Then, the district freaked out because of Texas' anti-trans and anti-gay law. So they tried to strip her role and give it to a boy. She refused, so now they are cancelling the play. Subscribe to support our journalism.

One piece you should be reading about academia. Whiteness is fragile. It is held together by bigotry, scarcity, capitalism, and genocide. Whiteness recapitulates itself through oppression and repression. Whiteness, in and of itself, is rooted in violence, pillaging, vileness, and self-superiority.

I wrote about Jason Arday and Black academic life. I took time to process his passing as I worked through my traumas from my time on the tenure-track. I no longer work at Syracuse University. I can't share details yet. More to come. jennmjacksonphd.substack.com/p/they-mean-...

Victor Madrigal-Borloz is wonderful & I’m grateful for this. She’s been successfully using the UN to legitimize her anti-trans campaign & wreaking havoc for a while now. The anti-trans movement has successfully been used as a Trojan horse to usher in fascism & she’s been a crucial part of that.

Prominent ‘gender critical’ transphobe in UN called out for “proximity to US conservative groups [ADF]”… “Reem Alsalem, has taken views that regressively depart from UN human rights doctrine, displaying how an ideologically skewed mandate can undermine the consensus of UN human rights bodies.”…

A year went into writing it, but also the years researching for it in addition to the lives of myself & my participants. I am incredibly grateful to my participants for trusting me with their stories, I hope I did you justice.

"Hey, do you want this contract? It's on site?" Where? "USA" Oh didn't they just declare trans people to be terrorists? "Oh, do you think X would go do this job?" No for the same reason. America doesn't want smart trans hackers securing their stuff they do not get smart trans hackers.

She exemplified strength, acceptance, wisdom, wit, skill, goodness, bravery & unwavering integrity. Meanwhile, she was 5’ tall, unabashedly working class & hyperfeminine. She stood by us until the very end. Let her death serve as a reminder to be like her & not cave to fascism.

As I keep saying: there is a class of people who have absolutely radicalised themselves to very extreme political positions, completely taken leave of their senses. And we know about this because they write about it for a living, they can’t wait to tell us all about their new epiphanies.

I'm deeply ashamed of my profession. Its treatment of Jason Arday - right across the board - fills me with disgust and horror. The tormenting of a highly vulnerable man was seen as monetisable entertainment. This is a stain that won't wash off. bylinetimes.com/2026/08/19/j...

I have a dire update on this story. I have reason to believe my source, Aurora Rush, was taken by the federal government as a political prisoner. www.erininthemorning.com/p/trans-coup...

This was part of the anti-trans playbook, “big pharma is banking it”. Bad faith shit. Zero interest in what happens to intersex kids, no interest in what the effects of diethylstilbestrol. Just endless persecution & scapegoating of those who disrupt hegemonic norms. Nazi shit.

Dr Dean Burnett@drdeanburnett.bsky.social

This is something the 'rising #ADHD diagnoses are just big pharma wanting to sell more meds' arguments seem reluctant to explain. If the whole thing is a huge complex plot to sell pills, why would those pills be so rare and hard to get? Like advertising a restaurant only accessible via jetpack
