The three amigos, Chichester District Council members for Harbour Villages Ward, at a new housing development. We all opposed at the Planning stages but was granted on appeal by the Planning Inspectorate. Still highly controversial with local residents because it was built before #infrastructure.

Just another gimmick from a party with no credibility on defence. £10bn wouldn't even touch the sides for a complete UK-wide 'Iron Dome'. The Tories need to review their dodgy sums or be honest about which parts of the country their Patchwork Dome wouldn’t cover. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Well, this was a joyous way to spend a morning in the studio, in the company of Clive Anderson, Tim Minchin, Ayanna Witter-Johnson, Harriet Kemsley and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Loose Ends tonight on BBC Radio 4.

What a treat to once more share at stage yesterday with the original fab four - Lee Child, Ken Follett & Jojo Moyes - under the guidance of Vicki Perrin for the Queen’s Reading Room Festival at glorious Chatsworth House in Derbyshire.

Dolly Parton came from so little yet she gave so generously - both with her enormous talent & just as much with her resources, always championing the forgotten or overlooked. Her legacy is not just in her incredible music but in teaching us all how to be better neighbours. She’ll be dearly missed.

Caring has been central to my life, and the lives of millions across the country. I'll be meeting the Prime Minister today to discuss how we can finally find a solution to the care crisis. We need to do things differently. I really hope we are on a journey to fix this.

The social care crisis is a catastrophe for families, for the NHS and for local services. Liberal Democrats stand ready to work across party lines to tackle this existential crisis. For carers and for our country. Nothing matters more.

As Burnham enters Number 10, he will face many challenges. One of the biggest: the social care crisis. Elderly people left bedbound without support & families losing everything to pay care fees. It has to stop. If Burnham is serious about fixing this crisis, we @libdems.org.uk will work with him.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Earlier this week I joined Adoption UK and Kinship in Parliament to hear from families about adoption and kinship support. Their experiences echoed what families in Mid Sussex have told me: support must be consistent, specialist and shaped by those who rely on it.

Huge congratulations to Josh Kerr on smashing the world mile record yesterday! An absolutely phenomenal achievement and proof of what hard work, dedication and a clear vision can deliver. Well done, Josh!

The rot at FIFA has gone too far. Under Infantino, political greed has completely broken the game we love. We can't just watch from the sidelines anymore, the FA and our European partners need to walk away and build a fair, clean alternative from scratch. It’s time to move on.

Recess starts this week but the work for North East Hampshire presses on. Over this period, I will be out speaking with constituents, working alongside local groups and getting things done for our community. 🔶

📍A memorable week in Westminster before recess. This week I: 🏥 Pushed the Health Secretary yet again to move Basingstoke Hospital up the rebuilding list. 💧 Criticised the Government's planning changes, which are leaving our infrastructure and nature vulnerable.

If millions of people live in coastal communities... ...why doesn't Government have a dedicated Minister whose job it is to fight for them every single day? 🔊 I told @lbc why I think that should change.

Our chalk streams are incredibly precious and need protecting. It was absolutely brilliant to join the newly founded Chalk Streams All Party Parliamentary Group to discuss what we can do in Parliament to protect these unique ecosystems.

Britain is an island 🇬🇧 So why don't we have a Coastal Minister? Today, I've written to the incoming PM repeating my calls for one who can fight for the investment, jobs & opportunities our coastal communities deserve. It's time the coast had a voice at the heart of Government.

Funny, isn't it? I say North Norfolk deserves better rural buses. Others rush to explain why we should be satisfied with what we've got. I'll be clear: I'll never stop pushing for better rural bus services. It's what residents deserve & it's what our local economy needs.

Nigel Farage has lined his own pockets and is using this by-election to escape scrutiny. The people of Clacton deserve better.

If you have done nothing wrong, why are you running away? Standing down is not the sign of a leader, it’s the sign of a small man who has grifted his way through life without consequences finally being found out. Nigel has found out that - unlike for his hero Trump - in UK politics, rules matter.

Infantino must go. No matter where it’s held, the World Cup belongs to the fans – not gangsters like Trump. We need someone who’ll finally kick corruption out of FIFA.

Residents in Wokingham are sick and tired of endless sewage spills by Thames Water. That's why I urged the Government to implement a mutually owned public benefit model for water companies, so customers and the environment are prioritised over lining stakeholder's pockets.

I hear from many in Wokingham who are struggling to manage with rising energy bills, and need extra support with everyday, essential energy costs. That's why I am proud to support the Liberal Democrat plan to cut energy bills by £100 for the average household in Wokingham.

Our army is at its smallest size since the Battle of Waterloo. That's shameful. My Lib Dem colleagues and I have called for a £20bn defence boost through new "Defence Bonds", so that our army gets the support it needs to face down new challenges and deter armed conflict in our generation.

Dick says he’s being unfairly targeted. He’s just a lovely multi-millionaire politician “giving hope to millions of people”… by failing to pay tax, while claiming to give a shit about their lives and their public services. “Moral decency” is for other people. Not special little rich-boy, Tice.
