We recently crossed $6K/mo in recurring subscriptions 🎉 A nice milestone If I was solo on Blacksky that would be enough for me to make a living full-time on just all of your direct support But this year is about growing and providing for the core team who took/will take risks to work alongside me

hey seattle pals

I know there are a lot of mutual aid asks coming out of Minneapolis right now, but both of my kids graduated from South High and it would mean a lot to me for people to contribute to this rent fund for my fellow South families. I’ll match the first $1000 if you post receipts. Tiger Pride 🧡🖤

Hi all. I’m working with @ziibiing.com at standwithminnesota.com to get rents paid for Minnesota families impacted by ICE as soon as possible. I’m barnraising $2400 for one campaign. I’ll chip in $25. Please chip in and share this need: V: colocha_rachel $: ColochaRachel Put a 🌻 in the memo.

Hey folks, if you read my recent blog post, you may be surprised to hear this but unfortunately my main source of support has abruptly ended today and I am scrambling to figure out how to replace both boring support (like help with dishes) and emergency support (when I have serious MCAS attacks).

It’s actually really liberating from the grip of paranoia to assume you’re being read or listened to and act accordingly. If you assume what you say is public, if you don’t want someone to see it or hear it, don’t say it or do it. But if you do say it, say it with your whole chest

Three people I really appreciate following right now are: @mekka.mekka-tech.com, @lookitup.baby, and @lizthegrey.com.

Hey y'all. Propel is hiring some engineers this year. If you like Vue (or aren't afraid to learn) and you want to help improve the lives of low-income Americans, check the roles out: job-boards.greenhouse.io/propel If you have a question, ask in a reply so everyone benefits.

On 9 January 2026 mine and my family's lives changed forever. I tell the full story in this video: youtu.be/mNEPSWcOheY If you want to support my family as well as our local community, consider sharing this post, or donating here: www.gofundme.com/f/we-lost-al...

I'll take genAI seriously when the industry takes itself (and the harm it's doing) seriously. That day does not yet appear to be here.

Go support Amabel’s patreon!! She’s earnestly one of the best things I look forward to on YouTube these days. Her work is beyond compare, and incredibly needed and important beyond the scope of the videos themselves. patreon.com/AmabelHollan...

whenever i tell friends about robot karaoke they often say they don’t like karaoke because they aren’t good at singing and it’s such a fucking bummer knowing that people i love are loving by the constraint that one can only do a thing for fun if they are “good” at it

Yes. Yes I do remember this.

Bank of America more than tripled my mortgage payments right before the holidays… If you’re still looking for gifts (or maybe something for yourself), consider buying them from my friendly little game store. Happy to make recommendations! 🥲💖 opalgrovegames.com

If you're trying to ditch NYT Games, which you should be since their games singlehandedly prop up the entire dogshit rag financially, you should switch to Puzzmo. An annual sub is 50% off today for a crazy $19 and as a bonus doesn't enable the genocides of Palestinians and trans people

Apropos of nothing: now would be a real cool time for the CNCF to realize that North America includes both Mexico and Canada and decide that KubeCon NA can be somewhere other than the US Just a thought

i guess whatever ends up happening i very much appreciate the way that so much of what comes out of this campaign offers a positive depiction of what politics can offer to a community instead of just grim attack stuff and fear

fuck vercel, fuck Next.js, fuck Svelte, fuck Turborepo, fuck SWR, fuck SWC Posing with the architect of a genocide for sales leads is an insane and deeply immoral stance these projects cannot separate themselves from the CEO of the company who funds them

October is Disability Awareness Month. If you have a studio or a corporate event planned and would like to have a speaker talk about accessibility in gaming, I am available! For details on what I can offer and talk about, I have a brand new Speaker page on my website stevesaylor.net/speaking

The state is hunting Latinos and no state actor is going to get in it’s way. Organize with your community.

today marks one full year since i quit my corporate tech job and i didn't die or lose my community so let that be an example, lesson and threat

This is what I do at work, come work with me! We can make so many things so much better!

Thanks to many generous donations, I’ll be ordering 300 additional copies of the zine to distribute across NYC game stores, libraries, and tiny libraries. I’ll continue to do this for as long as I keep getting donations. Read, share, print, and distribute your own: drive.google.com/drive/folder...

12. Dogs are great teachers of how uncomplicated love should be.

I very rarely donate to campaigns outside my own sphere of electoral influence, but Kat is running the kind of campaign I wish everyone would run. If my $26 can make this strategy more viable, that’s money well spent.

So this is us trusting our communitea to hold us. Anyone who is able to contribute through the link below will get the name of their choice engraved on a plaque of SOS (Save Our Shop) Angels to be permanently installed in the tea house and a photo pinned on the discord. square.link/u/La2AFWmg

Vouch for Lane.

PLEASE don’t buy into Amazon’s booksale this week. They are intentionally trying to eat into profits from Indie Bookstore Day this weekend, a really important annual event for our important community institutions. Check out your local fave or bookshop.org.

I so dearly love serving friends in my little game shop. If you find yourself anywhere near Detroit, come and visit @opalgrove.games 🥹

I was getting my makeup done while they filmed this episode. The artist and I were both fighting for our lives trying not to laugh in the background 🤣

I believe in a world where play helps us be better people. Play is a just, necessary goal to incite in the world. And I want to be a part in that.

I think games have an opportunity to help people connect, promote, learn, reveal, and incite belief and action into the real-world. Play can help us see beyond ourselves; To live lives that transform and transcend us.

This challenge is hella cool and I you should participate!!! I’ve done it, it’s crazy fun. Seriously. Talk to Jason. It’s awesome.
