Kemi Badenoch has accused Keir Starmer of not supporting the initial strikes in Iran for fear of upsetting Muslim voters “whose political loyalties are swayed by conflicts in the Middle East, not the British national interest.” That’s quite the claim, and pretty inflammatory.

Sorry for anyone affected by the violence in the Middle East and that sympathy extends to Isabel Oakeshott and her family. Perhaps this experience will help her reflect on the fear and suffering of millions of people who suffer far far worse and are obliged to flee famine and war.

I'm no fan of the Iranian regime, but it would be nice if the US directed its military ire against Putin and his cronies instead, and disabled the Russian Military's capabilities in Ukraine

Great to know that US Air Force planes based at RAF Fairford can be used to bomb Iran but we can’t be sure that they would be used to defend NATO members under Article 5.
