Bet the execs will still get fat bonuses too. There is no job security in game dev, just infinite greed from those in charge and a good chance you'll be fired even if your work is extremely successful. As someone who's been out of the blue laid off before its horrid.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

One of my primary medications(no I wont discuss medical specifics on a public platform) has been out of stock for nearly a month, Im on a shitty alternative that is significantly less effective, and I dont really know what Im meant to do if it doesn't come soon. My health keeps deteriorating.

I need to work a lot cause Im really struggling financially but like how am I meant to work a lot when I'm fatigued, malnourished, in absurd pain, and can barely think due to the first three. this year has just been an endless parade of hellish experiences for me and everyone I love, Im tired

I cant afford to get extra food to try and combat my digestion system doing a poor job of getting nutrients but I also need to in order to work more and its just example 10million of how wealth makes it easier to be able to make more money. It all compounds and compounds.

The thing about getting people to vote for you is you have to actually offer them something "Im gonna segregate your community you slur, but vote for me cause maybe I wont harm other people as much as the other guy" is about as compelling as suggesting rat poison as a snack.

I'm of the opinion that one should always vote but also meaningful change will never come from voting. You do that tiny action and then you go do actual organizing, that voting isnt an endorsement but merely exerting what influence you can on a system which gives you false choices.

As well telling a candidate you will not vote unless they grow a spine is extremely useful rhetorically, because its one of the only ways you can assert your needs towards a candidate. It is good actually to criticize politicians for their wrongs especially if they are being bigoted.

Same goes for supporting Israel's genocide, you are not gonna gain votes by choosing extremely unpopular positions in the hopes that bigots will vote for you over the turbo bigot. It is on a candidate to change their policy to gain votes, being a bigoted asshole isn't a winning strategy.

Most people criticizing your politicians also make it clear that they would vote if the candidate stopped being a bigoted asshat, the solution here is extremely simple, go harass your candidate to be a decent person instead of the marginalized people they are chomping at the bit to harm.

If trans people & our loved ones not voting would lose you the election then maybe its not us that needs to budge on our basic human decency and rights but you who needs to stop whining that people aren't nice enough about your open bigotry. Experts agree its a genocide, you're pro genocide.
