President Trump has attempted to dismantle a federal agency, pause billions in grant money for states, and freeze federal funds for medical and public health research. And, he argues that he can do this because the Impoundment Control Act is unconstitutional. What is impoundment? buff.ly/41n6qPO

Elon Musk to reporter: “We post our actions to the DOGE website. All of our actions are maximally transparent. I don’t know of a case where an organization has been more transparent than the DOGE organization.” Here’s the doge.gov website IN ITS ENTIRETY. It’s literally a blank page!

When we generalize about any group of people , we shut out the people who are on the fence. Trump is going to convince a lot of MAGA to stop supporting him. I'm ok being told I have TDS if the end result is that we convince the 1.5m more people that voted for him, to no longer consider him.

Part of what has me in a spiral is that there is no reaching them, Mark. They cannot have a civil conversation that does not include insults and hatred. That's the only way they can live with the ugliness of their choices. They are now devoid of diplomacy and decency.

Let's fuckin go. Fight.

NEW: Last week’s funding freeze didn’t just hit nonprofits, it caused waves among for-profit banks, which are a lot more tied into the world of federal funding than you might think. Their real estate loans, revolving credit lines & community development work could be upended if this happens again.

The House Republicans listed below are vulnerable in 2026. They will only vote to cut our benefits if they think no one is watching. If you live in these districts, or know anyone who does, CALL NOW and tell them to keep their hands off Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid!

Hakeem Jeffries@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social

Republicans have been ordered by their billionaire Puppet Master to end Medicare as we know it. Democrats have 215 members in the House who can stop this extreme effort. All we need is three House Republicans to join us.

Seems like a trap to me.

Federal employees have received a copy of the deferred resignation agreement. Contains a lot of brow-raising lines such as, "Employee waives any claim that could be brought on Employee’s behalf by another entity, including Employee’s labor union." Full text shared with me:
