There is an option in the atproto environment (which Bluesky is also part of): Leaflet. And based on how that environment works, you'll be the owner of all your data as well (and you can use the same account that you already use for Bluesky) Just figured it might be worth a mention 😊

New photo holders!!! They'll be at Nebkon! Hope you all like them :>

I have a lot of feelings about how social media has kind of ... ruined the experience of being an artist who is sharing their work online.

Today is my birthday so you HAVE to share my Kickstarter. It's just the law, man. www.kickstarter.com/projects/iro...

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

I'll love you forever and always, my baby boy.

i was not expecting the cheese magazine to go for this one but i’m so glad they did

Hey all, my baby boy is sick and we have no answers even after $900 worth of vet visits. The next steps are expensive diagnostics and I need help! I was laid off the same week he started to display symptoms, so it's awful timing. Please share and donate if you can! www.gofundme.com/f/help-save-...

I had so much doing this!! Hope you all like it!

“The Al is not just telling you what you want to hear. It is training you, one conversation at a time, to need less friction, expect more agreement, and become slightly less capable of handling a situation where someone pushes back on you”

*tapping aggressively on this sign* GUYS, ARTISTS WILL ACTUALLY ADORE AND WORSHIP U AND GIVE U AMAZING RESULTS IF U DO THIS WHEN U COMMISSION THEM!! We do not shame u for ur "horrible" skills, it actually gives us a better idea to chat u want and it results in a better execution ✨✨

Moving On.

finally, perspective grid knowledge will be useful irl

“authors have no obligation to listen to the opinions of their readership on how the work should progress” does not mean “you aren’t allowed to criticize the work” it just means the author doesn’t have to obey feedback from the general public. Like hello

The most bad-ass rebuttal from Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach.

Hello #PortfolioDay! I am the Meggles. I'm a Freelance Artist/Illustrator with a passion for fantasy, TTRPG, and vibrant colors❤ 💌 Meggles.Arts@gmail.com megglesart.carrd.co

I hope we're just in some sort of transitional period in fandom/media consumption and this doesn't last, but I really need people to realize that bullying creators for not catering specifically to what they want or expect out of their creations is not, in fact, a good or normal or cool thing to do.

Circumstances have changed, and Im trying to raise 6000 USD. I have an ongoing 20% off sale in my shop and a ko-fi. I currently have emergency commissions up on ko-fi I know times are tough for everyone, so all I can ask for is shares. ko-fi.com/megglesart www.etsy.com/shop/Meggles...

oh you have pokopia?

The only hardline is whether someone is *actually* hurting someone else irl. Feeling grossed out/offended is not the same as getting hurt and assuming someone is dangerous from the fiction they consume is cop shit. Thought Crimes are a fascist concept, censorship is a tool of oppression.

an art friend is looking for freelance clients based in DE/EU or they risk deportation, they do custom model horse work. the first picture is some of their sample finished work, the other two are bases available for custom. they can be reached at silverfang07studios@gmail.com if you are interested!

Bare

Hi guys, im so sorry but I need...a lot of help this time. Due to my IIH ive become near partial blind & need new glasses, I cant afford them on my own. I also still need to pay bills. As well start saving for inevitable surgery later this year. Im sorry to constantly ask for help.

Today I found out that the screen printing shop I work for is closing because they couldn't recover after COVID fucked the supply chain and the cost of everything rose. It's a game only the big businesses can compete in now. I hate this hellscape. Literally the best job I've had, down the drain.

When you have an audience or a business you have to ensure that you always provide a lot more value to people than you extract from them. If you don't then, long term, it all breaks down. Young people I talk to today...they feel like the whole entire world has broken this contract with them.

HEY Y'ALL don't sleep on this. You are actually saving $13 on this deal. You get a $5 discount on the books themselves when bought together, and with the free shipping in the US, that's an additional $8 you save! I'm leaving it up for just today only. ko-fi.com/s/4958920b19

To all of the artists in the TTRPG space or any looking to do TTRPG art, we are looking to bring another artist on to help with some magic items. If you're interested, please email us at CloaksandCapesDnD@gmail.com with any questions and where we can see your work! This is a paid opportunity!

This is such a good comic, please grab yourself the complete set if you haven't already!!

Doodled up a little #Flowerpunk species, the sycafawn! One of the tiniest members of the unguligrowth group of magical creatures, they reach a height of just a few inches. They live in and around sycamore trees as the name suggests, disguising themselves as seeds. #Art #CreatureDesign

Product Brain. It is pure, malignant Product Brain. Art is a product, the purpose of which is to reach a certain quality / commercial value, and through that lens, of COURSE mass-produced, instantly available, Looks-Good-Enough-If-You-Squint genAI slop seems like the perfect tool and solution.
