"The DSA—the official organ—is forking nuts. So nuts that if you told me that the DSA was a false flag operation run by the Heritage Foundation in order to discredit the Democratic party, it would make sense."
Today's Triad from @jvl.bsky.social:
Doing some quick math on their self-reported 4% error rate in optimal conditions. If flock had nationwide coverage, there'd be at least 9.6m of the 242m american drivers having their plate read wrong. When you account for Roseville PD's 71%, that 9.6m jumps to 171.8m.
In one California town, Flock misread license plates in 71% of the time.
Out of a sample of 1,427 alerts that Flock sent to police in the town of Roseville, alerts that flagged vehicles as stolen or used in a felony after they passed one of the city's Flock cameras, 71% were inaccurate.
I've heard first hand that it's confirmed baristas are having breathing issues and headaches from being exposed to this new Starbucks blending powder. there are no news articles but this powder has silica in it and becomes airborne when used for drinks. Baristas aren't allowed to mask on shift.
Listening to audiobooks is 'reading', it's not 'cheating'.
To think that absorbing information through your eyes carries more moral weight - or is somehow more character building - than through your ears is weird as f*ck.
Not a conspiracy. Not pattern matching. Mention a document that makes people look silly, and they will wipe years of documents and paid-for research to save face. Only some forward thinking to save a copy prevents oblvion.
Or as the Internet Archive calls it, Friday.
Anyway.

The real little mermaid IS a queer story, Hans Christian Andersen was a gay man. He wrote it as an outlet because he was in love with his straight friend and couldn’t tell him, and watched him marry another woman. She doesn’t end up with him. She dies and becomes an angel for her sacrifices in life.
This piece ignores that the wealth of the economy's decision makers ultimately comes from labor that the rest of us provide. The economy probably looks great from that top down perspective
"People have stopped believing that the economy can be good, and have lost the willingness to admit that they are doing well. That pessimism might be harder to fix than an actual downturn," @annielowrey.bsky.social argues.
A "healthy" 4.4% unemployment is still 7.7 million Americans that want to work and can't find work. We are all underpaid even if we do have a job. The profit motive sets our wages and prices, it should not be complicated to figure out why the vibes are off.
I'd REALLY appreciate it if anyone who sees this would try out my text generators so I can iron out any remaining bugs. Please, and thank you!

"but republicans will never vote for impeachment" is a sign you just don't understand this shit.
democrats need to fucking fight for what is right. what is right is removing a criminal corrupt president and his cronies.
if the gop wants to go on the record backing this, LET THEM. over and over.
"this character can't be trans because the author wasn't explicitly trying to create a trans woman"
neither were my parents, how'd that work out for them?
everything I say is an artfully veiled sarcasm, a joke of such sophistication that anyone who falls into my meticulous trap of belief immediately reveals themselves a boorish rube of the highest caliber. whereas everything you say is an honest admission, a disgusting truth borne of an ugly soul
everything about Hasan clicks into place when you realize that everyone in politics/media is a lifelong nerd, while Hasan looks, to them, like a big strong scary jock who might shove them into the lockers of their youth
hasan makes an obvious joke and has generally good politics and the media is like we need to drown him to prove he's not a witch. meanwhile tucker carlson goes live and talks about how demons are real and one tried to eat him in his sleep once and the media is like he seems trustworthy
The sitting US president has more felonies than fingers and toes. I read this whole thing and it's fine? HP is the one steering the conversation towards connecting the overall anti-social sentiment to leftist literature, which I appreciate. Just read the whole thing and then get mad
I got a dog that's about 5years old and I always buy their from the same store. I have noticed there are certain treats that have shrinkflated. Freeze-dried chicken and salmon are low stock or sold out whenever I check. It feels like the owner is not running the HVAC either
worth remembering, David Lynch directed “fix your hearts or die” specifically at transphobes. it wasn’t a generic “no mean people allowed” statement, it was said by his Twin Peaks character in defense of a trans woman he cared for and deeply respected.
this isn't a game of magic the fucking gathering you don't get to retroactively change the rules by playing a counterspell on the counterspell at the top of the stack and then make a bunch of fucking threats of getting them thrown out of the school's magic club or whatever
We can do this now without even chasing anyone out
Simply pick up the store phone and announce "Attention, shoppers. MrBeast just bought this Kroger and everything is free" and the managers and security will be tossing hams in their Land Rovers before you even hang up
Starting in Milan, in 73, revolutionary groups would mass up, go into supermarkets and chase out the bosses/security, get on the loudspeaker and declare everything free. They would then make revolutionary speeches while shoppers gleefully enjoyed the discount. They called this "proletariat shopping"
architecture is more than just design; it’s the built environment of the world we all share. i have no love for The Office Of The President Of The United States, nor the actual white house itself. but destroying it without the consent of the people is an act of irrevocable cultural vandalism
You're a cruel person and you've learned clever words to make your hate sound nice but I know what's in your heart no matter how well you think you've hidden it
Everyone with eyes can see what you're really saying
People who shave:
Baking soda scrubs are dirt cheap and have changed my life
Just get some baking soda wet enough to form a paste, then rub it where you're gonna shave, rinse after about 60 seconds.
Then, and this is critical, wait 4-12 hours, then shave.
Life. Changing.
So many people seem afraid, astounded, even offended by sincere, earnest expression. It's disheartening, because it makes it very hard to be genuine, to not put on a mask, to not veil yourself in a protective layer of insincerity, facetiousness, or callousness. It's exhausting always doing that.
Chattel slavery was so bad that when we tell you how bad it in fact was most of y'all shut down and tell us we're making it up and pass laws against us ever telling you how bad it was again because your brains literally cannot handle how bad it in fact was.
