I mean, it's how we got Ossoff and Warnock.

Brazil’s results tonight are a big endorsement for the idea that every country should have a second “are you you sure about that” election a couple weeks after the first one for the important stuff

I get, given the presidential buzz (that he keeps downplaying), why people want Ossoff to have a more consistently progressive voting record, but his current race IS in Georgia. There are Senators in far safer states that are further right than him and have voted to confirm even more Trump nominees.

I am all in on the theory that Donald Trump does so well with low information voters because he himself is *literally* a low information voter. None of it is an act.

sure gas is headed to $8/gallon but at least cornell got rid of their gender studies classes. or at least i think they did, i haven’t checked and if im being honest i wouldnt really know if they had or hadnt because it doesnt affect me but it makes $8/gallon gas all worth it

This is good! But it'll never not be funny to me when New Yorkers discover basic trash pick up.

Good news for New Yorkers, bad news for rats: all trash will be in rat-proof bins by the end of 2031. No more black bags on the sidewalks — it’s time to put a lid on it.

Genuinely depressing to me that your partner has to Doordash to raise money for your cancer treatment when you get old. What happens if you don't have a partner? Are we just working to pay a landlord and save up for a medical emergency when we're elderly?

Orban is not conceding because he's honourable. He's conceding because his defeat is so comprehensive even he can't pretend he won.

Robert E. Lee got his ass beat at Gettysburg by a professor of rhetoric and oratory from Bowdoin College and generations of reactionary fantasists have died mad about it.

Much of reactionary politics today is best understood as a Confederate restoration project.

Here are 4 districts the TX GOP gerrymandered to gain seats in November, with the Dem and GOP primary vote. Dems outvoted GOPs in every one of them.

The Iran war is 60% unpopular with the dust still in the air. Unless Tehran turns into Alexandria, Virginia by '28, Vance and Rubio - together or separately - will need to run fast and far from it. But they won't be able to.

A top priority for the next Democratic administration must be to break the mobile gambling industry, otherwise we will face an OxyContin-scale addiction crisis.

The “vote the bums out” voter is great until you become the bum that has to appease them.

On top of everything else, graduating into an economy where employers hold all the cards is awful for your personal growth once you DO get a full-time job.

This is what's so infuriating about people trying to retcon 2010s austerity as some genius political jiu-jitsu instead of a huge failure. Long term unemployment in your 20s is insanely damaging.

Remember when Biden gave everything North Carolina needed after a hurricane, and the press and Republicans shredded him for ignoring North Carolina? That was a century ago.

The last couple of years before high school are great years, maybe the least demanding years of your whole life. It’s easy for people to feel nostalgic about that.

It's 2015. President Barack Obama has accepted a "sky palace" jumbo jet from the Qatari government, which he'll own after he leaves office. "Everybody relax," he says in an interview with the New York Times. Everyone does. The networks then televise the military parade in his honor on his birthday.
