File under things that will never happen

Olga Nesterova@onestpress.onestnetwork.com

Per Telegraph, Putin and Trump admin are discussing the “need” for NATO withdrawal back to its 1997 borders as part of the “peace plan”. That means withdrawal of NATO forces from Poland, Baltics and Finland.

To-do list for SD Mayor Pete and DSD Uncle Frank (and the transition team): - at 1201 rip down the stupid fucking sign, regardless of whether Congress has officially changed the name (not looking good for the 27 NDAA lol) - at 1202 issue orders to rename all the confederate bases back*

A depressing read. I still think the idea of a future uncrewed fleet is delusional on a grand scale, let alone the idea it can do high north work

Incoming Chinese naval drills….. Japan will allow "Taiwan" to be selected as a country of origin on national qualification certificates. The change stands to benefit the around 70,000 Taiwanese nationals living in Japan.

This brings me great joy

More of that great Wolf Warrior Diplomacy™. This started with a cross-party group of Estonian MPs celebrating Taiwan's National Day. In response, China tried to explain their job as MPs is to never appear to contradict state policy …which, er, of course is not at all how our democracies function.

Lols 😂

Great success, going well chaps

Dominic Tierney underscores the United Kingdom's approach to foreign policy under Andy Burnham as one of balancing values and interests. No clearer example of this has been shown than UK efforts to support Ukraine and help mend its relationship with a key ally, the United States.

"Ukraine's war effort is faltering" - Jacobin weirdos. People here we going insane over US loses during the recent Epic Failure Op, but everything lost by the US in all conflicts in the last 40 years would be nothing compared to what Ukraine has inflicted on the VVS.

It is madness The US (and Europe) are weakening Ukraine’s position at the very moment Russia’s own capacity to sustain the war is coming under increasing strain This is now the greatest danger for Ukraine. And it is happening just as Putin is running out of options of his own

Sure but it's a shame we have almost no spare launch capacity

The EU is working on alternatives to Starlink for Ukraine. From early 2027, the European Commission plans to integrate commercial satellite capacity into GOVSATCOM, including for Ukrainian needs. The EU’s own IRIS² satellite constellation is scheduled to become fully operational in 2029. #Ukraine

I want to emphasize Mike’s points: this isn’t going to work. The missile itself might work. But this list of common bits is all the expensive bits other than the seeker. And if your plan is to build one missile capable of PD against a YJ-83 and terminal against a DF-26B, you’re nuts.

Mike Black@mikeblack114.bsky.social

like this is straight up impossible, but anduril legit doesn't think that, they think this is something they can actually do (with appropriate graft built in ofc) Anduril Unveils Steelfin Family Of Modular Surface-To-Air Missiles share.google/h2Z9JmS9Xu5j...

But "a lot of Americans on here" have real lives, with real problems. They can't be bothered with paranoid and irrelevant rubbish about "the rise of pro-China factions". That's for think-tanks pushing "Operation Hellscape" nonsense, for the sake of enriching their patrons. bsky.app/profile/frie...

absolutely terrible, stupid framing. DOGE could have *only* been a "missed opportunity" if it had been conceived, planned, & implemented exactly opposite of how it was, by people who did not think like they did, for goals antithetical to their actual goals.
